Huh? I got all the training I needed to handle a gun safely in 10 minutes at summer camp when I was 9 years old, at the same time as dozens of other boys. Guns are pretty simple, 18th century technology, and someone with a modicum of common sense could teach himself to handle a gun safely by reading the manual.

The idea that guns are frightening, complex mysteries, that can only be even touched after expensive and elaborate "training" is a leftist one.

LOL they want you to think guns are mysterious and dangerous and difficult to use. When it comes right down to it, you just point it at the bad guy and pull the trigger. Of course there is thought and training that go before. I had a buddy at ATF who thought only ATF should have weapons. They are indoctrinated from the get go. I would put the weapons intelligence and awareness of the average Freeper favorably above the average ATF or FBI agent. Obviously they are not up to the task of protecting average citizens.
