On Wednesday, MSNBC freaked out over the global cruise ship industry attempting to return to business after being largely shut down during the pandemic. The reason for the left-wing cable channel’s fear? That boats full of tourists represented the latest “climate crisis,” akin to massive wildfires or deadly floods.
“Also, climate crisis after climate crisis. Fires growing in California, smoke reaching the east coast, deadly floods in China, and now, a new fear in Florida,” fill-in anchor Chris Jansing ominously warned at the top of the 11:00 a.m. ET hour. She then specifically attacked the state’s Republican governor backing the return of cruise ships: “People in Key West saw the water become even more clear blue during the pandemic, but on the order of Governor Ron DeSantis, cruise ships and their pollution are making a comeback, despite the local government’s best attempts to stop them.”
Later on the show, Jansing touted the supposed environmental benefits of the COVID pandemic that has killed millions.

Correct! These people really prefer we all live in a one bedroom 1 bathroom house with no A/C. And forget anything like a cruise. That is too much luxury for any human being according to them. Why not just go back to caves? Caveman was not causing global warming! But wait, that ice age 2 millennia ago, how did all that ice melt? That global warming was so big it melted all those glaciers and created the largest body of fresh water on earth called the Great Lakes.

Well then I guess some big cruise ship floated down our local interstate and caused that massive wild fire in eastern Washington.
Yes, we should ask these enviro extremists about the various ice ages in earth’s history. During the last ice age, Chicago was buried under a mile of ice. How did all that ice melt? We know that the carbon footprint of humans at that time was zero. So how did all that ice melt, if not due to a natural change in climate?
This bugs me about the “climate change” situation. Climate has changed throughout earth history due to natural cycles, which we don’t understand and can’t change. How much of today’s climate change is due to human activity, and how much due to natural cycles we can’t control? Enviro types can never answer such questions.

And how do the people of Key West, in a city heavily dependent on tourism, survive economically with the tourism business hit so hard by the restrictions imposed?
Do the people of Key West want to be hungry and destitute but see that lovely bluer ocean? Or would they rather survive and run their tourist oriented businesses?
The Politburo doesn’t have anything on these buffoons. It’s like these idiots want to see another hundred million dead people for thinking for themselves.
These idiots need a nice, soothing cruise to calm their psyches.
