Provincetown to implement indoor mask mandate as COVID cluster has impacted 551 people in multiple states

Provincetown officials on Sunday approved a temporary indoor mask mandate after a COVID-19 cluster stemming from an influx of visitors around Independence Day has now impacted more than 500 people across multiple states.

In an emergency virtual meeting Sunday evening, the popular Cape Cod community’s Select Board voted to authorize Town Manager Alex Morse to order an indoor mask requirement until the COVID-19 testing positivity rate dips below 3%. When that happens, indoor masking will fall under an advisory, which Morse can lift once the positivity rate falls below 2%, officials said. The town’s Board of Health made the initial proposal, which comes after new safety recommendations in town due to the cluster; both boards voted unanimously in favor.

Morse noted the cluster tally is likely to grow as contact tracers do their jobs and as communities and agencies work together across several states.

“We are entering a new normal. COVID isn’t going anywhere anytime soon,” Morse said. He added that communities across the state and U.S. may experience what Provincetown is seeing as the virus rises and falls. Health officials said this is particularly true around holiday seasons and as the highly contagious delta variant spreads across the country.

Almost three-quarters of the Massachusetts cases were vaccinated people who experienced mild, cold-like symptoms, with officials emphasizing that only three people linked to the cluster have been hospitalized and many are already recovered or in isolation as a precaution even if they don’t feel sick.

How is this possible, MassLies was just reporting how 114% of PTown is fully vaxxed. These leftist think the Gov will give up power once it is over, but as we see 3 people out of 500+ ended up in the hospital and the rest had mild symptoms and fully recovered but masks and further restrictions are planned.

They will not let this go.

Perhaps so, but that doesn't alter the fact that the mandate is based on the false presumption -- the delusion ... the lie -- that masks are effective against transmission of a respiratory virus. They aren't ... no matter how much irrationally frightened "men" and women, no matter how much irretriveably ignorant people, no matter how much egomanical politicians, power-obsessed unelected bureaucrats and celebrity-enthralled "medical experts" want it to be so. It isn't. A mask is nothing more than a talisman ... nothing more than a good-luch charm to ward off the communist chinese evil spirit, covid. Masking is simply a nasty, dirty, unhealthy bad habit that takes courage and strength to break (which leaves out a lot of American "men" these days).

And which practice (historically)  has resulted in a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases   and premature death.
