Israel reported Monday a 4-month peak of positive test rate, as well as a continued rise in the number of new coronavirus cases and patients in serious condition, as the virulent delta variant spreads.
Israeli Health Ministry recorded on Sunday 1,398 new COVID-19 cases with 108 people in serious condition, 20 of whom are on ventilators and 25 are in critical condition. Moreover, there are 199 coronavirus patients in Israeli hospitals.
According to the Health Ministry's data, out of the 108 patients who suffer severe symptoms 75 are inoculated with one or two jabs.

disingenuous article. Only 25 in critical condition and we are not told how many of those are vaccinated. In addition. those that are seriously ill therr is no definition. of serious illness. We are told that 70% of them are vaccinated with one or two jabs but are not good the percentage of those that are fully vaccinated. I suspect because none of it fits the narrative. The fact is the vaccines are doing a good job of preventing serious and critical illness in breakthrough cases which are still a relatively small number of those vaccinated. death rates have remained low because the most vulnerable are also the most likely to be vaccinated.

Nobody ever said the vaccine would prevent you from getting the Wuhan virus.
The vaccine was always promoted as helping your body fight the more serious effects of the Wuhan virus.

That’s untrue. It was promoted as being 95% effective at stopping the virus nothing was said about it only helping your body fight off the more serious effects.

I’m not sure why, but I think this is, in part, a marketing failure.
The so-called vaccines have not shown much success in preventing illness. That’s why most people got the jab — they didn’t want to catch COVID. But the medicine doesn’t really do that, and a lot of people seem surprised by this. At least in theory, the real benefit of the medicine is that once you catch COVID, the illness will be mild, and you probably won’t die. But, in fact, that’s also true of COVID in unvaccinated people. Maybe the medicine helps. Maybe it doesn’t.
I still think no one knows much of anything. Millions of people are getting the jab without really understanding the purpose of the jab, and with little real way to know if the jab ever benefits them.
The whole thing is weird.
