The Hamptons are in Long Island, Martha's Vineyard is an island off the coast of Massachusetts. I haven't been to either. I don't know anyone that wealthy.

He’s managed to acquire enough money that he’s having the Hamptons moved to Martha’s Vineyard for his party. Butt, apparently he still hasn’t “sooner or later” made enough money.
Never been to Martha’s Vineyard, but the Hamptons are beautiful and the restaurants were excellent back in the day.
Grew up on Long Island. Kismet, Montauk Point, the Westbury Manor, the vineyards of the North shore...lots of natural beauty if you knew where to look. Heading to the Hamptons was a thing you did; you didn’t need to be uber-rich then like you do now.
