Historically, Democrats and Republicans were merely opposition parties. They had a few shared objectives — prosperity, liberty, and national security. However, they had very different ideas about how to achieve those objectives. It was a political environment well suited to debate and compromise.
Then the election of 2000 happened, and something changed. George W. Bush won the presidential election by a mere 537 votes. Losing in such a narrow fashion was too much for the Democrats to cope with. In their rage, they went insane.
The Democrat party has always had radical elements. But up until 2001, the party had mostly kept them at bay. In that year, surrendering to their insanity, they welcomed the guidance of radical leftists — and the purges began. With primary challenges, the leftists began driving moderates from the Democrat party. They even forced Joe Liebermann out of the party — and he had been their vice presidential candidate in the election of 2000. A mere 20 years after that devastating election loss, the likes of Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ilhan Omar are now the soul of the party. The Democrats no longer share any meaningful common ground with Republicans.
After the leftists had taken over the Democrat party, the attacks on Republicans changed. There was even a political commercial that portrayed Congressman Paul Ryan pushing a wheelchair-bound grandmother off a cliff. They were no longer arguing that Republican policies were wrong. They were arguing that all Republicans were evil. In classic fashion, their war preparations had begun. The Democrats were dehumanizing their enemy.

Not Wake UP RINO’s.
Bye Bye RINO’s!
Republicans and Democrats agree that the purpose of the State is redistribution. How much, and to whom, and under what circumstances, there are disagreements. But no elected officials of either Party believe that it is wrong to take from you and give to another of their own choosing, for reasons that make sense to them.
Republicans and Democrats agree that you have “rights” - lots of them. They also agree that any question ABOUT your “rights”, or whether or not something IS a “right”, should not be decided by a political process because that is “divisive”. So, they both agree that the voice of “the People” as contemplated in Articles IX and X can only be voiced by nine unelected life tenure judges, and that five of them, at any time or for any reason, can give new “rights” and take away old ones, particularly if those old ones arise out of majority voting.
Republicans and Democrats all believe in “diversity”. They, ignoring completely the results of all social science research on this subject, and contrary to millennia of human experience and wisdom, believe that the more “diverse” our country, its institutions, and any private entities within her become, the more cohesive and productive we will become.
Republicans and Democrats almost all believe in “free trade” and “immigration”. These things are good for various constituencies of both parties while they wreck the economy and the nation.
Many of the People, perhaps a majority, do not believe in any of these things. But in our existing system, captive as it is to the MSM-mandated “process” for choosing two candidates for POTUS neither of whom will change a thing, leaves the People with no voice.
Something’s gonna blow.
The author seems not to understand the RINO concept. Republican in name only is the long way of saying Democrat.
Assistant Democrats
its called The UniParty(R) and the UniParty (D)
to pretend there are Republicans, Democrats, RINO’s etc is to facilitate their perpetrating fraud upon the country
Its Grand Theft RICO
Green does not have the faintest idea what he has been talking about. The two parties only pretended to oppose each other. In the end, what have the Democrats failed to get in any sphere? And this despite some periods where the GOP had total control, and still failed to fulfill their most basic promises.
“Historically, Democrats and Republicans were merely opposition parties. They had a few shared objectives — prosperity, liberty, and national security.”
It would help if he could get through the second sentence without sounding like an IDIOT.
It's you that don't understand.
The PURPOSE of the Republican Party is to prevent you from getting what you want.
The IDEA that there are two parties, which are opposed to one another in terms of goals, and that "they" lose when "we" win, is a fraud.
The sooner you give it up, the better off we will be.
We need a list...
Not a list of those to purge, that would be too long...
We need a list of the one’s to keep..
That will be a very short list indeed..
I agree. The Republican Party has moved to the left, pulled by the democrats over the years who have moved even further to the left themselves. Case in point- my congressman- Adam Kinzinger.
The GOP has truly turned into the Gang Of Pussies.
Rhinos are irredeemable. There is no future with them. It would be better for them to be given a millstone.
RINOs are truly one of the Democrat/Communist/Left Party’s most powerful weapons against conservatives, the Constitution and the American Republic.
