Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) criticized Senate Republicans Monday for enabling the bipartisan “infrastructure” bill, giving Democrats a win while readying to pass the larger $3.5 trillion trojan horse package.
“I think the bigger thing to be shocked by is what’s happened in the Senate. Senate Republicans who’ve agreed to this deal think that they’re only going to get a bipartisan deal. And it’s simply not true either,” a Fox News reporter tweeted, quoting Donalds’ statement. “Democrats are going to get what they want in the House.”
“AOC, Ayanna Pressley, Cori Bush, they’ve been consistent on this since the beginning of this whole bipartisan process,” Donalds continued. “They’ve been very clear. They want to have all of their cake. They don’t just want a slice of cake.”
Donalds’ statement comes as Senate Republicans voted to move ahead with the bipartisan infrastructure bill last week, which is expected to be passed by the legislative body perhaps as soon as Thursday. If passed, the bill will head to the House to be approved before going to President Biden’s desk.

China Mitch gets his minions in line when it matters to the Dems.
Another win for the uniparty.
There is no Republican party. There is a Uniparty, and there is America First.
The Senate GOP are just Assistant Democrats, they KNOW they are paving the way for the country killing reconciliation.
But they pinky swore.
I don’t care if a Republican votes for the bill, AFTER they read the 5700 pages and understand what each project is and how much it costs and how it is paid for. For all we know there are projects like 100 million for better interstates for snails.
Democrats stick together and play to win. Republicans splinter and fight among themselves to gain personal importance as the swing vote.
Did that happen today? One would think a prominent conservative news source such as Free Republic would have such an event in breaking news. Yet, the breaking news column rarely changes except to update the donation thread. Strange...
This is what happens when people vote for the “lesser of two evils”.
Don’t vote for RINOs.
Take a chance. Vote for the underdog. Vote for the person that the establishment has labeled “extreme”. Vote for the person who “can’t win”.
A famous person once said “What have you got to lose?”.
You’re putting the cart before the horse.
What Republicans should have done is not allowed it to go for a full floor vote in the 1st place.
17 Republicans did just that.
Technically yes, in reality these are moderate RINO's who prefer to be seen as bipartisan moderates than Republicans.
This place becomes a win at all cost forum the second there is an election. It’s no surprise no one works for thr “conservative” voter. Every election is the “most important in my lifetime”. If you aren’t ever willing to throw a Senate seat to send a message you’ll never send a message.
Byron is strong.
has a bright future, imo.
Bryon Daniels is a rising star. Great speaker... DeSantis/Daniels 2024...
