The weed back in the day was usually around 8mg THC content but todays average weed is about 24mg THC and the really potent stuff is in the mid 30mg THC content

They aren't. People who use dope will generally vote for whichever candidate supports their hallucinogen over all other issues. It's a shame, but their recreational activity quickly becomes a vehemently-denied addiction before manifesting itself as an idle worshiping pseudo-religion. In this transformation's later stages, they generally don't vote for anyone or anything and they lose all ideological convictions.
