This gal (Kathryn Davidson - Wildfires) has been live streaming for 10 hours straight now. Shes got some great insight into the progression of this terrible fire. Greenville is GONE. Chester and Almanor look to be overrun today. Westwood is at risk. Please support her if you so want. Heres some other good info links:

Chester CA is intact and surrounded by black #DixieFire also black on all sides of S end of airport either from control fire or incident fire.
And Newsom has the audacity to blame it on ‘climate change’.
America, REPENT and return to God or this is just the beginning of sorrows. Quite possibly the sorrows have begun on 9/11 - but they will increase if America continues to reject God’s rightful place over our land.
“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God” (Psalms 9:17).
I used to spend several weeks each summer north of Chester at Camp Fleischmann, when I worked for the Boy Scout office in Reno. Beautiful place with wonderful people. I’m praying for rain.
Have friends in Westwood. They got the warning last night and have everything they can get packed, ready to go. Winds are supposed to be strong today and out of the south west so that is NOT a good thing. No rain in sight anywhere out here. Prayers up for fire fighters and the pilots flying the water/retardant drops and for the residents.
Why is climate change so much worse in California?
Been listening all morning. She’s great! Really giving real time updates.
Chester is hanging by a thread. The wind increase today will probably push the fire into town.
The governor closed the churches.
increase and shift to the west (from south) hopefully the fire already passed and/or control burns depleted the fuel around town
Geography, climatology and man! Much of southern CA is semi-arid to actual desert but has large populations nonetheless. Geographically, the winds off of the coast come up against the Sierra Nevada mountains and dump their water on the relatively lush costal edges. In many years, normal multi-year climatological cycles known as El Niño / La Niña can lead to multi-year droughts followed by very wet years. In 2017, the April snowpack, at a standard measurement site, the Tuolumne River Basin, was at 4 times the mass of the previous 4 years combined!
In previous generations, the California governments had built an extensive reservoir system to even out these times of excess and dry but 'the man' has now taken much of that ability away. From the Delta Smelt to the over-population of South California and the removal of dams for environmental reasons, CA is in a bad way!
Thanks for the links.
My parents are there in Westwood, where I grew up. They own the hardware store, and are trying to keep it open for the firefighters coming in for supplies. Minute-to-minute on evac orders.
How many millions of tons of CO2 are being released? This will literally raise the oceans due to mismanagement.
not loooking good right now
fire really spreading fast to the NE and east
huge plumes going up and wind increasing
