Good one. Is that why gas is almost 4 bucks where I live and I see food prices going up and up?

How does this unemployment percent jive with the number of people lolling about collecting unemployment, stimulus, and other bennies?? BTW, I note yesterday a product I routinely buy is up 10% from last week. Could it possibly be due to the amount of free script sloshing about the country.

Most of this was a result of Red states rejecting further Federal unemployment benefits.

Probably a bulk of these are people being forced back to work after the extra $200 a week in benefits got cut off.

Over $4 now at our local outlets. Of course once the powers decide that you have to prove you’ve been vaxxed to obtain gas I’ll be saving a lot of money. Food? Probably the same thing. You’re gonna be got one way or the other. Get the jab or get starved out.

Many states ending the expanded unemployment benefits is driving these employment rates.
Michigan ended the waiver on having to report your job searches weekly, and suddenly the unemployment rolls fell.

Part of the fall in the unemployment rate is that labor force participation remains low.
