Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) announced Thursday that state employees in congregate settings will be required to get the coronavirus vaccine or “adhere to face covering requirements and submit to regular testing.”
The new vaccine protocols are set to take effect on September 1 and will focus on 48 facilities in Maryland, ironically nicknamed the Free State from generations past. According to Hogan, “these actions are being taken to further protect our most vulnerable citizens.”

as blatantly illegal as that is, it’s better than requiring vaccinated people to submit to the mask and testing mandates...
“Submit to regular testing” seems strictly punitive. In the midst of the pandemic, prior to the availability of the vaccines, it wasn’t required. Why not?
He should make them wear yellow masks with a star.
If he didn’t, I’d wear one anyway, and probably scribble “Juden” on it with a sharpie.

There was a Carnival cruise that left Galveston on one of the last days in July — all vaccinated, but had an outbreak of COVID.

Define “submit to regular testing”. They make it sound like they will take a daily blood sample but more than likely they’ll just have a security guard point a thermometer gun at your head when you walk in the door. 98.6... Next?...
Hogan is the type of republican that Dick Cheney wants us to return to.
Unvaxxed employees should take several hours twice a week for testing. Grab a beer, long lunch and find a test site 30 or 40 miles from your employment site. Payback to the azzholes who think they’re in charge.
Hogan is a fat POS a**wipe and a sad excuse for a Gov. And to think I voted twice for this POS.
He thinks he will run for POTUS in 2024 and he is setting himself up for a National office. What a farce, he is right there with Romney, Graham, McConnel, a waste of human flesh.
I am having a problem understanding this. Whether they have the virus or not, the vaccine was never created to stop the virus. It was created to cut back on hospitalizations and make getting the illness less powerful in the body in time. So, if having the vaccine is not a guarantee you won’t get it or the variant, They’re throwing out the baby with the bath water. As little as it helps, masks and social distancing along with a bar of soap is just as effective by their own admission. They’re herding cattle to more poison water.

I lived in MD for 28 years, retired 3 years ago and moved.
If a state, company or agency mandated me to get a test, then they’d damn sure have to pay for it otherwise I wouldn’t take the test. I’d also be asking questions and pushing hard for anyone vaccinated to have weekly test because they can still get it and spread it (if you buy into all the covid BS).
Time people started pushing back big time.
