China Suspends Issuing Passports Indefinitely Stressing it was an Anti-pandemic Measure

The Chinese communist regime announced on July 30 that it would stop issuing passports to Chinese citizens indefinitely while repeatedly stressing it was an anti-pandemic measure. However, outside of China, many have queried what the real motive might be in restricting people’s mobility.

On Wednesday, Liu Haitao, director of Border Inspection Management of the Chinese regime’s Immigration Administration, said at a Chinese State Council press conference, “China will strengthen entry and exit management at ports and borders, strictly prevent the import of epidemics, and strengthen various measures.”

One of the measures was to “strictly restrict the cross-border movement of non-emergency and non-essential people.”

Liu said, “The Immigration Administration will temporarily not issue passports and other entry and exit permits for non-essential and non-emergency exit reasons.”

However, the regime did not specify when issuing of passports would resume.

Some Chinese citizens claimed that the strict control of passports actually started several months before the official announcement was made and had already been affecting the lives of citizens.

As early as April, a mainland citizen posted on popular Chinese website “Douban” that he needed to update his passport to handle overseas business for foreign clients, but was rejected.

According to Radio Free Asia (RFA), the suspension is a blanket ban, as there’s no specification of how to define essential and emergency or non-essential and non-emergency, and that passport applications based on various reasons have all been denied.

Overseas Chinese citizens’ passport renewals have also been denied, such as at the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles.

Some analysts believe that pandemic prevention is only an excuse and the regime is using this to further tighten its control of Chinese people.

Chinese current affairs commentator Fang Yuan told RFA that the suspension of non-emergency entry and exit documents may have something to do with the pandemic, but it's not the main reason.

I know it’s the CCP, but once again we see the pattern of exchanging human liberty for your own good. To protect you. The very same thing that is being peddled here, albeit, still somewhat behind the CCP curve.

Some analysts believe that pandemic prevention is only an excuse and the Gavin Newsom regime is using this to further tighten its control of California's people.

They won't like the result.

Think Vietnam 1979 times 100.

Strange that they don’t name the pandemic that’s causing the need for this proactive lockdown.

One of the stated reasons is to prevent the import of epidemics. Interesting reasoning by the communists.

We lost 53K+ in Vietnam, that’s nothing for a godless communist nation that puts zero value on human life.

China has the ability to take Taiwan. The country is already heavily infiltrated. There are thousands of SS missiles aimed at Taiwan.

Granted, the chi-coms do not want to destroy Taiwan and it’s manufacturing/technology. They’d much rather take it whole.

That said, the CCP has facilitated a commandeer program that will utilize thousands of private surface vessels to deliver troops to the island.

Not to mention the communist have many American politicians in their pocket and they will turn the screws to keep them from acting on Chinese aggression toward Taiwan. The leftist administration in this country is their (pardon the pun) Trump card.

I believe we should not under estimate these people.

It would also not pay for the Commies to not underestimate a technologically advanced people who have had 70 years to develop their own nukes.

Nor over estimate by taking their bluster at face value -

BTW: A lot more Americans than 53K died in Nam. That is just the propaganda number. Small graves registration sites were processing the entire announced monthly casualty number in 67-68. ‘No living relative, no death’ policy of Westmoreland’s - ‘body count’ is everything propaganda.
