Those who do not recognize God and His creation have no value on human life. Communist China has roughly 1.2 billion people. Sacrificing a couple of million in order to achieve a goal means nothing.

Think of it like this. Mexico invades Texas and renames it Nuevo Mexico. Sets up a government, a standing army and flies the Nuevo Mexico flag.

Americans would never stop until they drive the Messy-cans out of Texas. Chinese communist feels the same way.

Have you noted all the whiners here about going to war over maintaining open and free South China shipping lanes on which the US economy depends? If the CCP gains control of those lanes, they may as well take Texas because the US economy and stock markets will crash like in the 30s or worse.

All your store shelves will be empty, food a luxury. The US is a net importer of food, because we allowed all the best farmland to be paved over, or shut off water to it to save some critter. Don’t worry about TP, just get an old can, fill bottom with gravel, and the rest with water to wash the stuff off your hand like they do in much of the world. That will be the cost of allowing the CCP to take Taiwan.

If your scenario were to happen there would be whiners about retaking Texas as well, and providing you could even find enough physically able men to become soldiers - something not happening now.

If you compare Chinese wanting Taiwan to the US and Texas, you have just fallen into the CCP trap. The Chinese mainland people want to be like Taiwan, not take it. Taking it is the idea of the CCP. The CCP and the ordinary Chinese people are not the same thing.
