For some energy experts, the increase in donations for the officials at the close of the session looks like a reward for not passing more stringent regulations and raises questions about whether lawmakers let the oil, gas and the broader energy industry off easy for its massive failures.

Criminal.
Seems like there should be a law against that
Greg Abbott, the worst Texas governor in a long long time. Worse even then the hated Ann Richards. Abbott is another Bushbot gov just like the stupid and worthless W. Do not vote Abbott ever.
Support Allen West.
Definitely.
I suspect you’ll have your chance to vote in Beta in 2022.
The article leans far to the left in favor of “renewable energy” sources being totally innocent despite the fact that we ALL know about the frozen wind turbines, snowed-on solar panels and the fed demands and regs that would not let the fossil fuel sources ramp up for relief-our oil and gas industry is overregulated to the max-less, not more fed crap-so I’m not going to jump up and down and scream about this...
we have someone running who wants (promises) to get rid of the HIGH property taxes....
“... lawmakers let the oil, gas and the broader energy industry off easy for its massive failures.”
I’ve worked in both Texas’ primary (oil and gas) and secondary (electricity) energy industries. I can tell you that there is a VAST difference in which industry was to blame for the ELECTRIC power grid failure of February, 2021. It was the electric companies. The biggest failures were in wind turbine generators, and reliance on wind turbine technology. Second blame goes to the South Texas Nuclear generator at Matagorda. Third largest failure came from The T.H. Wharton lignite generator at Sugar Land.
None of these failures had anything to do with gas or oil. In fact, Texas natural gas generators greatly increased their output during the storm. Gas suppliers would have no reason to change anything besides convincing Abbot to stop relying on unreliable energy sources.
When you are an idiot that can't tell the difference between talk and action.
Enjoy being overrun by Latin America. (One million already in just six months). I hope your women like it rough, cause that's how Latin America roles.
I am anybody but Abbott, whoever looks most likely to take Abbott out has my vote.
But of course, if you not all in on a globalist Bushbot liar like Abbott than for sure you must be a commie Marxist right? Fool/s
This has got to stop.
What do the power companies care? If their grid crashes again and power goes out the state will just get billions in disaster aid from the feds and all will be well.
Say what?
GOOD FOR THEM..
I’d vote for Colonel (ret.) West if I was in Texas.
I’m still enthusiastically voting for Abbott. I used to like West and a local talk show host seems to be pushing his friend Huffines.
