Tribal stuff. You are absolutely correct. That said, we are becoming increasingly tribal as a nation - fueled by pseudo-intellectual pinheads in media, politics, and academia.
Divide and conquer has been the mantra of the left and their soldiers in all of the above venues. There are dire consequences to such irresponsible and self-serving behavior.
