To make a point someone ought to send a box of Afghani amputated thieve’s Hands to the White House to be delivered at a cabinet meeting

The rules of engagement had become so restrictive that there was no point in putting our military in harm’s way.

I, for one, am ecstatic US forces are leaving that sewer.

I don’t care who’s idea it was or who claims credit or who issued the order.

It’s good to be out.

Now, on to Syria and Iraq.

This wasn’t a ‘withdraw’ - it was total chaos and abandonment. Could have withdrawn ground forces while still providing air support for the Afghan government’s own forces to keep what is happening now at bay. He left Afghanistan the same way Obama left Iraq. ISIS’ forces in Iraq could be seen traveling, setting up their sieges of cities, etc. Airstrikes would have wiped those convoys out before they entered the cities and took them over. Virtually none of that chaos and mayhem that went on for years that Trump took car of had to happen to begin with. Likely the same thing with Afghanistan - just sat there and watched the Taliban’s units of troops travelling to the cities to attack them and could have gotten them before they entered.

IMHO this is a “stopped clock” moment for Biden.

Pulling out of that hell-hole after all the treasure and Patriot blood we’ve wasted for the past TWENTY YEARS is the right thing to do.

Should have left 17+ years ago.

Absent a political will to win, this result was inevitable.

As usual, soldiers paid the price while the elite reaped the rewards. Age-old USA story.

Joe: “We’re going to pull all of our troops north of the Mason-Dixon line”

Kamala: “That’s the wrong war Mr. President”

Joe: “We’re at war??”
