That’s easy to say, but the complexity of systems today makes that almost impossible.

How many people have their web site with an “independent” provider don’t realize the backend is using AWS?

Vox Day seems to have been prepared for this eventuality. It looks like he was waiting to see how long he could go on Google before they kicked him off.

I disagree for one reason. Use these platforms to reach their audiences. Use them to make money. Fly below the radar. At the same time, though, make sure your content is available on non-censorious platforms as well as a hedge against the day when you get de-platformed.
