MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Thursday went after Govs. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Greg Abbott (R-TX) for their moves to ban local school boards from imposing mask mandates on students as the country deals with the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
Scarborough called the GOP governors “clowns” for “trying to consolidate power in a centralized state.” He said what the two leaders are doing is “the antithesis of being conservative.”

but to actually hear what he talks about, he seems to have been turned on by Mika, to liberalism.
Well, according to ratings, very few people watch MSNBC. Not sure about Morning Joe in particular, but I bet only the true believer radical liberal types will tune in.
Scarborough knows about as much about being conservative as I do about cool places to dine in Davos.
Being a Republican and being a Conservative are two extremely different things!
The problem is way too many Americans don’t understand the difference between them and we end up with Mitt Romneys and Jeff Flakes and John Cornyns!

Scarborough is more liberal than or at least as liberal as even Don Lemon.
When he started the show, he was a squishy RINO former congressman. I seem to remember him saying he no longer considers himself a republican.
The turning point for him seems to be related to Trump and Mika. They used to be friends with Trump. I remember seeing a clip of Trump on their show and Mika was fussing over Trump and helping to arrange his hair, etc. Once Trump started gaining traction in the POTUS race, they turned on him. After that, Trump came out with both barrels blazing and he described how Joe and Mika had come to visit him in Florida and that Mika's face was bandaged from her recent plastic surgery. Once he made those comments that embarrassed Mika, she and Joe became obsessed with hating Trump and this hatred extends to his basket of deplorables as well.
Scarborough is trying to convince his audience that Covid kills in schools and meeting rooms on the eastern seaboard, but not anywhere a filthy, thieving, murderous drugged up Mexican happens to blow in.
