No, N95s won’t stop the virus either
The Blaze ^ | August 12, 2021 | DANIEL HOROWITZ

Posted on 08/13/2021 11:18:19 AM PDT by conservative98

We all knew this was coming. The same people who were wrong for over a year about the power of surgical masks — at a very painful cost to our children and society — are now seamlessly pivoting to their new position without ever apologizing for their original mistakes. They now want children to wear the even more cruel N95 masks. The twisted irony is that after causing more discomfort and potential medical harms to children, they will still not provide protection against the virus.

Like a dog returning to his vomit, Scott Gottleib, a former FDA administrator under Obama, called for kids to wear N95s rather than confess the mistake of the failed social experiment. Last week, Gottlieb advised schools to begin using KN95 masks, the Chinese version of the N95. He also praised the Utah RINO governor for making KN95 masks available for school districts that want them. Since he called for these masks, there is now a torrent of N95 and KN95 articles in the media. Dr. Michael Osterholm, Biden's former COVID adviser, has also called for all adults to wear N95s after conceding that surgical and cloth masks failed to show any efficacy. Ezekiel Emanuel, who is very influential with Democrat policymakers, has also publicly recommended N95 respirators.

We've seen this nightmare before, and what begins as a bad dream rapidly descends into reality and soon turns into a mandate.

Aside from the fact that anyone pushing them on kids should be charged with reckless child endangerment, N95s really don't make any more of a difference against the virus than the other masks. Should we trust the same people who were wrong about surgical masks to now make kids suffer under their crueler cousin?

Stephen Petty, a certified industrial hygienist and hazardous exposure expert, sent me a copy of an N95 usage label made by 3M that he enlarged into an infographic. It turns out the company's own disclosure blows up the myth of using an N95 for viral protection.

I never imagined i would even have to write this, but given the speed at which the most inhumane, illogical, immoral, and illegal policies become universal without due process, debate, or even compromise, we need to get the truth out now b4 its too late https://t.co/UtybUvYv6t— Daniel Horowitz (@RMConservative) August 12, 2021

Our government refuses to focus on what actually works and helps people in the most efficient and cost-conscience way; officials seek to maximize the pain with no gain. After all, this is not really about source control, but about social control. https://t.co/UtybUvYv6t— Daniel Horowitz (@RMConservative) August 12, 2021

It certainly doesn’t look any different, other than the price.

the left are setting the country up for constant continuing lockdown and mask mandates in the future- they got a taste of the power, and they won’t let it go- whenever a republican is running for office, the main stream mediocre will trot out stories about how some variant is escalating in that state-, and whenever citizens get too uppity, out come the lockdowns and mandates- The CDC and fauci and ilk just lie with complete impunity now-

Even if the N95 masks worked for virus protection, which they don’t, they are not intended to be worn 6 or 8 hours a day.

Whether they work or not, it didn’t stop the Chinese in this country from buying up all of our N95 supplies at places like Home Depot early in 2020 and shipping them overseas.

The entire VA, top to bottom, insists that masks are effective against the transmission of viruses.

“I follow the science,” they mince smugly.

I’m seventy. Surely my contemporaries remember being taught for decades, right up until the launch of the scamdemic, that masks are *not* effective against the transmission of viruses.

Why don’t we speak up?

the left set itself up for resistance to mask and lockdown mandates since sloppy joe decided to open the border, invite, welcome, and freely spread hundreds of thousands of disease carrying invaders across our country during a “global pandemic”...

It’s not the code of the filter. it is the type of mask with the filter. See 3m 6100 mask with p95 filter.

N95s are so miserable to wear that they make a surgical mask seem like fun. To inflict N95s on kids would be truly cruel.

Why don’t we speak up?
__________________________

Many do. Many are not complying.

We cannot force anyone to listen or to understand. Even here on FR (and I’ve seen this on other conservative forums), the apologists rush in with demeaning rants full of ad hominem, supported with bogus studies.

Take them to court. Scour their rules and use them against the mandates. If possible, tough it out (I realize this cannot be done by everyone, all the time.)

We elders are a cranky lot. Work it.

Choose your battles.

Why don’t we speak up?

We are. The problem, as stated by Horowitz:

The assholes at the CDC are in this deception up to their eyeballs. They have even admitted masks don't work. See here: CDC Admits: No Conclusive Evidence Cloth Masks Work Against COVID 10/29/20

And here: CDC Admits "At No Time Has CDC Guidance Suggested that Masks Were Intended to Protect the Wearers" 10/14/20

And here: The CDC Accidentally Admits Cloth Masks Are Not Effective 9/10/20

I know that OSHA rules only cover employers, so their rules do not apply for students or others who wear N95 masks. However, OSHA rules exist for a reason. If an employer requires employees to wear an N95 mask, the employee must fill out a multi-page questionnaire that has to be reviewed by a doctor to determine if the employee is medically prohibited from wearing the mask. Then the employer must train the employee on the proper use, donning, limitations, and care of the mask. Then the employer must fit test the employee to ensure the mask if effective, which is pretty involved process in itself. But now the government is saying, “just throw on an N95 respirator”. That’s just more crap that just doesn’t make sense to me. If the school system were to require N95 masks for teachers they would be required to go through the whole OSHA protocol.

We do a lot of business with 3M.

They just recently installed three new N95 mask lines at one of their plants, increasing their production capacity by 4x.

I was asking why they thought the demand for N95 would not drop down to near pre COVID panic levels, and how they could justify increasing production capacity so dramatically.

It’s almost as if they knew something like the “delta variant” would happen, and the resulting “recommendation” for dramatic expansion of the use of the N95s.

Weird that.
