Arnold Schwarzenegger has criticized anyone failing to follow the regulations designed to slow the spread of COVID-19 telling them "Screw your freedom."

He said: "There is a virus here. It kills people, and the only way we prevent it is get vaccinated, get masks, do social distancing, washing your hands all the time and not just to think about, 'Well, my freedom is being kind of disturbed here.' No, screw your freedom."

Alt-right political activist and senior editor at the conservative publication Human Events Jack Posobiec shared a link to the actor's comments tweeting: "Arnold Schwarzenegger's father was a member of Hitler's Brownshirts and served as a 1st Sgt in the Wehrmacht."

Arnold Schwarzennegger's father, Gustav, was indeed a Nazi.
Growing up in the small village of Thal in Austria, Schwarzenegger knew very little about his father, who worked as a police officer and postal inspector there.
Gustav passed away in 1972 but in the late 1980s newspaper reports emerged claiming he was a member of the Nazi party.

Even if his father was a Nazi
Arnie is a ex governor of California.
And he says stuff like,screw your freedoms.
A governor!
So he was related to a nazi whom he did not know.
Well, that’s quite the insult.
Truthfully, I think it matters much less that his father was a Nazi, than the Germanic concept of freedoms being different from the American one.
For instance, Germans adore the freedom of riding on the Autobahn at the maximum safe speed for your vehicle, assuming you are obeying all other traffic laws. Whereas, they are appalled by the political expression they read in the US print. German journalists were taken to court for suggesting their president used hair dye.
And Germans are especially uptight over things like health and safety laws and public education. And this is where Arnold is coming from.
When there is an epidemic in Germany or Austria, civil rights go right out the window. And the public are all in favor of it.
One of the halmafks of civilization is that we do not hold children guilty for the sins or crimes of their parents or ancestors.
So, it simply does not matter what Arnold’s father did unless Arnold was directly involved.
He schtupped the hell out of her.
No fan of Arnold now, but he has long since disavowed his father and his nazi past. He never embraced it in any way at any time.
But saying that it’s disturbing to see him advocate the same policies his dad embraced, albeit, under a different label called “progressive”.
The person in the photo is wearing the uniform of the Wehrmacht, the German Army. His epaulets indicate that he is a Non Commissioned Officer. The photo tells us nothing about his membership in the Nazi Party. Almost all healthy men of military age would have served in the German Army the navy, or the Air Force, including Austrians. Conscription required it.
The Waffen SS, who were all Nazis, wore a different uniform and consisted of volunteers.
Hell, Arnold's a Nazi.
