America flew just 2,000 people out of Kabul overnight on jets that could have taken 10,000 in the latest night of shambolic efforts to get tens of thousands of people out of Afghanistan and away from the Taliban.
Overnight, 18 C-17 US Air Force jets left Kabul last night carrying 2,000 people including 365 Americans, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby said on a phone briefing with journalists on Wednesday morning.
The jets can easily carry 500 people and on Sunday, one was used to get 640 people out of Kabul.
One of the planes that left on Tuesday night had a CBS reporter on board who estimated there were 300 people on her flight. The remaining 17 jets would have just 100 passengers each, when 50,000 remain at the gates of the airport waiting to be saved.

Taliban blocks access to Kabul Airport? Just yesterday they were telling us they were nice guys Earlier this week, the triumphant Taliban was boasting about their newfound respect for free speech, women’s rights, etc. — all within the boundaries of Sharia law, naturally.
I’m going to quit drinking — within the confines of cocktails at five, wine with dinner, a bedtime brandy, and the occasional Bloody Mary at breakfast.
Today the Taliban is preventing refugees from gaining access to Kabul Airport, the last remaining thread between death and a chance at escape from the Taliban’s tender mercies.
The Wall Street Journal reported early on Wednesday that “entry remained extremely difficult” to the airport with “checkpoints on most access roads and no clear system to bring people in.”
The kinder, gentler Taliban don’t seem to want too many of those liberated women or former American translators to leave, and it doesn’t take much imagination to wonder why.
The chaos created in Kabul by Presidentish Joe Biden’s “murderously rushed pullout” even has CNN in near panic-mode.

I dont believe Joe made the call. Harris refusal to stand with Biden on this means their camps will now be drastically and permanently split.
People keep starting from a wrong premise.
They think the Democrat Party cares about good governance.

The Democrat Party cares about enriching Democrats.
Start from that premise and examine what they’re doing.
The Democrats are just not letting this crisis go to waste, and will use it to flood the country with Afghanis.
Wanna bet Odds the Taliban will say the USA has had enough time and the rest are prisoners?
2,000 out on US planes and only 325 US Citizens and that includes a whole bunch of Afgs with US passports.
They aren’t invincible. If human history teaches us anything it is that blunders are a real thing.
This is a significant blunder.
I say it’s intentional. Create chaos, and use it as an excuse to flood the country with Afghan refugees.
Of course the Taliban knows this and will make sure that many of these “refugees” are sympathetic to their cause.
This disaster his wholly the responsibility of the “Biden committee” and their puppet Joe Biden.
