Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration was reportedly warned weeks ago by U.S. officials in Afghanistan that the nation was at risk of collapsing as the Taliban made rapid territorial gains.
“The cable, sent via the State Department’s confidential dissent channel, warned of rapid territorial gains by the Taliban and the subsequent collapse of Afghan security forces, and offered recommendations on ways to mitigate the crisis and speed up an evacuation,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “The cable, dated July 13, also called for the State Department to use tougher language in describing the atrocities being committed by the Taliban.”

I think a lot of Dems are afraid that Joe is just getting started to F things up and, with the upcoming elections not that far off, they’re getting worried. On top of that, people are ridiculing the administration — and Dems HATE to be made fun of. (Republicans are used to it.)

LOL. Dissent channel. So, the majority opinion was the plan was sound. The dissent is the losing side's argument.
"Dissent Channel" is the state department version of HR's "I hear you" response. Just a way to vent, has no other function. Material goes in one ear and out the other. Straight to the garbage can.
He is too much of a narcissist to resign. Further, I don't think his wife would be onboard with that.

Not really. They’re just trying to protect the long term interests of their party. They sense a wave of repudiation building up against them. It goes against everything they believe in, but Joe’s gotta go for the good of the party.
If one reviews Biden’s record throughout his political career it’s totally understandable why he would ignore advise, intelligence,etc. Through all the lying, plagiarism, self-aggrandizement, corruption, buffoonery, nutty statement, and all the rest, he’s gotten a free pass. There have been few , if any, consequences for any of it. Big media has ignored, obfuscated, excused, and outright lied in order to protect him, and what’s worse, so has our own DOJ. Why wouldn’t he feel infallible and invincible?
