What this poor woman went through when she was gang raped and nearly murdered by Muslims in horrendous acts,of violence and rape, was horrible. They reached up inside her and yanked her female parts and innards out of her after they were done gang raping her with flag poles and sticks, . I. Beleive that the only reason she lived was because some Muslim women hid her in their midst so that the rapists couldn’t continue their assault.
I think it's worse than that.
This is such an unpopular and destructive set of actions that no free people would tolerate it.
So what it's really saying (along with the fraudulent "election") is that we are no longer a free people. That we are, in fact, simply a more incompetent version of the Chinese and Russian oligarchies.
We are going to lose every ally we have, and we will be stuck having to fight a civil war to remove the death grip of these corrupt, incompetent despots on our politics.

Lara Logan Challenges Media To Ask Certain Questions About Afghanistan

On Thursday, award-winning investigative journalist Lara Logan fired off a challenge to the mainstream media regarding the United States’ pullout from Afghanistan, stating that the Haqqani network —which according to the United Nations is comprised of “the Taliban’s most combat-ready forces” — had “taken over Afghan intel services,” allowing the Taliban to know “which houses to hit in first 12 hrs, almost imposs in a city w/o exact addresses.”
She continued, “US media needs to ask why US/Intel/NSA allowed sensitive mil equipment to be transported to Pakistan w/o doing anything? Why is the Biden admin not acknowledging the Afghan govt – VP Amrullah Saleh hasn’t surrendered, announced he’s acting Pres under constitution US helped draft.”
Logan began her short Twitter thread by writing, “The real issue in Afghanistan is what happens next because right now Haqqani network/Pakistani ISI has taken over Afghan intel services, can blackmail/target Afghans for years. Taliban knew precisely which houses to hit in first 12 hrs, almost imposs in a city w/o exact addresses.”
She continued, “The greatest gift to the Taliban from US Pres Envoy Khalilzad was US leaving Bagram Air base instantly giving up Afghan air space, signals Intel etc. Nothing you see now would be happening if the US had not done that -demanded by Taliban, opposed by US mil, overruled by State Dep.”

Yes, she is the reporter who was gang-raped in Egypt during the rebellion. She was a CBS 60-minutes reporter at the time and what she endured was horrific. She does not even like to talk about it.
As I recall, however, her experience there changed her POV about the Muslims there, she became an outspoken critic and was hence muzzled and fired not long afterward. She was mostly invisible until FOX picked her up as a special correspondent. I am a long-time fan of hers.
Lara Logan is a incisive, sincere and brave.
This interview is both infuriating and depressing at the same time.

Very good interview. It brought back my memories and anger as to why we we’re trusting Pakistan to control anything at all. More shocking to know that it never really stopped, even after finding Bin Laden there.
That said, Lara makes two statements that seem to contradict each other. She says the best thing we could have done after 9/11 was decimate the Taliban/ Alqueda and leave them alone to form a new government mostly on their own, but also calls leaving a betrayal. I suppose you can have it both ways in this instance.
She also pointed out that Trump (though she never says his name) should never have negotiated any part of our troop withdrawal with the the Taliban- none of their concern, we don’t need their permission. However, I think Trump knew the Afghan Army would fold up like a paper bag. The negotiation was only to allow time for an orderly withdrawal, and only the Taliban could impact that plan . It was a warning, not a negotiation.
She hammers Biden though, and calls him “expendable” in the end.
That was awesome!
