Outdoor outfitter Patagonia will stop supplying Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) with inventory following one of the resort’s owners hosting a fundraiser for the right-wing House Freedom Caucus.
According to local, nonprofit news outlet WyoFile, Jay Kemmerer, one of JHMRs owners, hosted the fundraiser, which took place August 5. Several high-profile Republicans headlined the event, including President Trump’s former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Admission to the fundraiser cost a minimum $2000 per couple. The event reportedly attracted protestors outside the venue.

Interesting that we live in an age where ideology trumps profits.

Its nice to be able to cut out another brand from the choices I make.
Be sure to thank them for pulling their products out of that rassis/sexis/homofoob/whatever operation and encourage them to do it everywhere.

I think the last time one of the "woke " brands did something this, another "unwoke" brand (LL Bean?) was all too happy to step in and take the money.
Well, I am pretty much into camping/hiking gear so I’m always looking for good deals.
Me and stoves is just like women and shoes - you can never have too many.
But I must say - of all the companies I buy from Patagonia isn’t one of them. Knew there was a reason.
They really are doing conservatives a favor with this move. Just like their last stunt with cancelling an order from oil workers. Clearly they still own the clueless white upper middle class buyers, but that’s a flaky bunch. At some point a new trend will catch on and the reliable buyer’s like oil workers won’t exist.
We need to fight back against this shit. I never bought any of their products anyway but I’m sure others do.
Alienate 1/2 your customers. Brilliant business plan.
