Pediatricians and other health care workers are suing the Biden administration over a mandate that would require medical professionals to provide gender-related services regardless of any medical objections.
Indeed, any objections, even in terms of treatment on children, would be considered “discrimination.”
As reported by the Daily Wire, the American College of Pediatricians, the Catholic Medical Association, and an OB-GYN doctor who specializes in caring for adolescents filed the lawsuit in federal court.
The lawsuit, American Colleges of Pediatricians v. Becerra, was filed Thursday with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The Alliance Defending Freedom is representing more than 3,000 physicians and healthcare professionals.
“The law and the medical profession have long recognized and respected biological differences between boys and girls and the unique needs they present in health care,” ADF Senior Counsel Ryan Bangert said in a statement. “Forcing doctors to prescribe transition hormones for 13-year-olds or perform life-altering surgeries on adolescents is unlawful, unethical and dangerous.”
“President Biden’s Health and Human Services department is grossly overreaching its authority and, in doing so, putting children’s psychological and physical health in danger,” he continued. “Our clients are rightfully objecting on medical, ethical, religious and conscientious grounds to this unlawful government mandate to provide gender-transition procedures.”
“Doctors should never be forced to perform a controversial and often medically dangerous procedure that goes against their best judgement, their conscience, or their religion, especially when it involves vulnerable children experiencing mental and emotional confusion,” ADF Senior Counsel Julie Marie Blake said in a statement.

If you're certain that people are born automatically attracted to males or females and don't choose it (believing there's a gay gene), while at the same time you know that nobody is born male or female ourselves -- we choose that on our own ... you might be a Democrat.

They are trying to put morals, professional ethics and religious convictions outside the mainstream.

I don’t understand this. As a spouse of a physician ( now retired) , no one can force a physician to do a treatment or procedure without consent of the physician, and also their ability to perform that treatment. Gender reassignment surgery is a rather complex procedure, requiring training. When you renew hospital privileges, you have to delineate what procedures you are able to do, and sometimes you have to provide proof of training in that procedure.
A pediatrician also does not have the training to provide hormonal therapy.
I would think all a physician would have to say is they do not have the training in that area, and it is outside their scope of practice. They can refer it out, because there are charlatans in medicine who are willing to do it.
I just do not see how anyone can force someone to do a treatment or procedure without training.

I hope this makes it to the supreme court where it will be shown that these issues are mental health disorders.
