MINOT, N.D. – Trinity Health, the Minot-area’s main healthcare provider, confirmed with Your News Leader that some of its physicians have prescribed Ivermectin for treatment of COVID-19 in some cases, though they are urging patients to discuss treatment options with their physician before taking anything.
A form of Ivermectin is used specifically to treat parasitic infections in horses and livestock, though according to the Mayo Clinic, a different version of the drug is used to treat certain infections in humans.
Trinity Health Vice President Randy Schwan released the following statement to Your News Leader:
“Ivermectin is a well-known, FDA-approved drug that has been used successfully for more than four decades to treat some parasitic diseases. Ivermectin is not yet FDA-approved for the treatment of COVID-19, but the NIH changed their recommendation for the use of ivermectin in COVID-19 from “against” to “neutral”. Interest and use of this drug has increased lately as a potential tool to treat COVID-19 infections, and there are several clinical trials currently underway or in development that seek to evaluate the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19.
“There have been occasions when members of our medical staff have prescribed this drug for their patient. Whether a patient would benefit from this drug or not is a clinical question best answered by that patient’s physician; that decision would be based on risk/benefit analysis that is specific to the current treatment for that specific patient and their anticipated outcomes – in no scenario should a person seek to gain this or other prescription medications outside of their physician’s monitoring.
“Researchers and the entire medical community are learning more about this new virus every day; some treatments/medications that were initially pursued are no longer recommended at this time, while other treatment approaches are turning out more positive after initially thought doubtful. Patients are urged to talk with their physician regarding any medication or treatment for Covid or any other ailment.”
Translation: It is working and we cannot hide it anymore.
“a different version of the drug”
Different exactly how?
Is it now a covered countermeasure according to the PREP Act...?
I have been taking human formulated ivermectin (”the horse medicine”) for a little while now. So far I have suppressed any urge to gallop out the front door and start grazing on the lawn.
Think how stupid this would sound, even though it’s just as true as what is in the article:
MINOT, N.D. – Trinity Health, the Minot-area’s main healthcare provider, confirmed with Your News Leader that some of its physicians have prescribed penicillin for treatment of COVID-19 in some cases, though they are urging patients to discuss treatment options with their physician before taking anything.
A form of penicillin is used specifically to treat infections in fish, though according to the Mayo Clinic, a different version of the drug is used to treat certain infections in humans.

But have you recently developed a strong desire for sugar cubes?
But do you whinny when Frau Blucher’s name is mentioned????
Good on that medical group standing firm, and saying “it’s perfectly ok to be doctors and treat our patients’ needs!”
Na-a-a-a-a-y
The thing I can’t figure out is what prompts these reporters to write this codswallop and support the fraud and conspiracy? What is in it for them to lie and hide the truth?
Ivermectin is used in billions of doses in HOOMANS all over the world. In darkest Africa, where Ivermectin is used constantly there is almost NO covid compared to places that don’t use it.
When Ivermectin is used intentionally for covid in places like India it all but wipes out covid outbreaks.
There are pages and pages of citations of studies all over the world showing the effectiveness of Ivermectin against C19.
THAT is great!
Except...there is no data suggesting penicillin helps against COVID, while there are a ton of studies suggesting ivermectin does.
They just can't help themselves, can they?
On the bright side, at least this article DID NOT say "they are prescribing a horse dewormer." And they very grudgingly admit that a different version of the drug is being used to treat infections in humans. The active ingredient is exactly the same in the animal and human versions.
They are too embarrassed to keep calling in an “unproven horse dewormer” without referencing that it has been used for a variety of ailments for human use for decades. So now they say ‘different version of the drug’ which is also false. It is the same drug, just a different delivery system and different dose in the container.
Some people may be taking the wrong dose trying to use the horse paste. That has made the news a lot. But some people also take the wrong dose of alcohol, even Tylenol. That’s no longer newsworthy. Those two kill thousands of people a year.
The last I looked, a molecule is a molecule. I am a man of Science!
While I don’t doubt someone out there has taken too much, the MS Dept of Health put out a big Ivermectin warning in which they admitted THEY KNEW OF NO ONE HOSPITALIZED FOR THIS!
LOL, just damn.
Useful Ivermectin links. More than you probably want to know about Ivermectin.

Emory University has a very prestigious medical school. The Dean of Emory Medical School has Indian heritage, and co-wrote an article in the Times of India advocating using Ivermectin against Covid, among other things. This has gotten =ZERO= coverage in US media, including his hometown paper, the AJC, and his hometown news network, CNN.
Try to convince me that isn’t newsworthy - both his original article and the non-coverage of it by US media.
Link to the article discussed above, and Emory’s leadership page.

The infographic there is excellent. Summary: The parts of Africa where Ivermectin is in widespread use to prevent a terrible parasitic disease, African River Blindness, also have very low Covid incidence.
Interesting Twitter account that has linked many Ivermectin and other med studies on Covid treatments.
