WASHINGTON/ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE, Sept 7 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden on Thursday will present a six-pronged strategy intended to fight the spread of the highly contagious coronavirus Delta variant and increase U.S. COVID-19 vaccinations, the White House said on Tuesday.
The United States, which leads the world in COVID-19 cases and deaths, is struggling to stem a wave of infections driven by the variant even as officials try to persuade Americans who have resisted vaccination to get the shots. Rising case loads have raised concerns as children head back to school, while also rattling investors and upending company return-to-office plans.
White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters traveling with Biden aboard Air Force One that he will lay out the six-pronged strategy "working across the public and private sectors to help continue to get the pandemic under control."
Asked about possible new mandates, Psaki said the White House would offer more details later about the plan and acknowledged that the federal government cannot broadly mandate that Americans get vaccinated.

I do not believe it is possible to stop a highly contagious respiratory virus. Their solutions will end up causing more trouble than just letting is pass on it’s own.
The hospitals have have a year and a half to prepare for for any “surge.”

Candidate Biden criticized President Trump early on for not stopping Covid in the first few days. As I recall, Biden said the knew how to stop the virus cold and would do so if elected to the top office.
Now a year and a half later Biden is still piddling around. I'm beginning to wonder if Biden was telling the truth, or if he used the virus as a political weapon just to gain power.
Boosters for those with compromised immune systems ... If it is compromised, how is the booster supposed to work??? Seems like immune system support, be it Hcq, Invermectin, monoclonal antibodies etc., would be the better choice. Flooding them with spike proteins and expecting the compromised immune system to create antibodies??? I don’t get it.
Biden is being judged by the same standard that cost Trump. The indoctrinated, looking for government to make them safe get angry when the virus isn’t defeated. Nevermind that it’s not possible.
