WASHINGTON — About a third of the female service members in the Air Force and Space Force say they've experienced sexual harassment and many can describe accounts of sexism and a stigma associated with pregnancy and maternity leave, a study released Thursday has found.
The review, done by the Air Force inspector general, also concluded that minorities and women are underrepresented in leadership and officer positions, particularly at the senior levels, and get promoted less frequently. It echoed many of the findings of an initial review, released last December, which found that Black service members in the Air Force are far more likely to be investigated, arrested, face disciplinary actions and be discharged for misconduct.

Of course, examining the reasons why this might be the case is beyond the scope of the report. But they can speculate that the cause is systemic racism.
Did they ask if white men believe they have been discriminated against?

I am about 100% sure, you are right.
As a former AF Law Enforcement Specialist, I can tell you that 75% of my busts were black males. That’s because they brought the hood with them and committed serious crimes (theft, etc). The white men? Usually the ones with the alcohol problems or sexual in nature.
Female: “Why is my performance mark lower than my peer’s?”
Supervisor: “Well, you were on maternity leave for 6 months, missing the unit’s deployment. That peer carried his load and yours, greatly contributing to mission accomplishment.”
Female: “That’s SEXIST! I’m filing a grievance!
And the DOD will find in her favor, and promote her.

So? It was the same 66 years ago when my sister-in-law joined the Navy.
I joined in 1966 and saw lots of HOT women in uniform. Officers got the first “pick”.
