Can somebody please clue me in on the use of “X.” as a middle initial by those who so freely play the race card? Is it a throwback to Malcolm X who claimed that using his given last name was to use a “slave name”?

This has nothing to do with having X as a middle initial. Having "X" as a middle initial is no different than having an "A" or "G" or "Z". My middle initial is an "X". Believe it or not, there are names that start with an "X".
