Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), who has helped craft the Democrats' latest voting rights bill, said on Sunday that it is evil to make it hard for people to vote.
During an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart,” Klobuchar said the proposed Freedom to Vote Act will be a victory for all Americans, sharing the positive response it received from newspapers after being unveiled earlier this week.
“But we've had rave reviews about the bill, positive editorials today about the substance of the bill in The New York Times, Washington Post. And for me, that was number one,” Klobuchar told Capehart.
“Yes, we can get to the procedure, which I know we will, but right now you have over 400 bills introduced that are voter suppression bills, 31 have passed. Look at what just happened in Georgia.”

— The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart (@TheSundayShow) September 19, 2021 Republicans in Georgie say the new state law, passed in March, is necessary to return confidence in elections after claims of fraud in 2020. However, Democrats say it's a deliberate effort to suppress and disenfranchise voters, especially the people of color and young voters who helped propel Democrats’ recent statewide victories in the state.
Klobuchar said Sunday that she doesn’t understand how some of her colleagues in the Senate can oppose the Freedom to Vote Act, a scaled down version of legislation that Republicans successfully blocked over the summer.
“But I just don't know how my colleagues can, in good faith — some of them, I know and I like very well, on the other side of the aisle, how they can embrace what is essentially evil. It is — it is evil to make it deliberately hard for people to vote,” Klobuchar told Capehart.
“It is not consistent with Democracy," she added. "And that's coming from a state that you know well, Minnesota, highest voter turnout rate in the country every year. And who have we elected? Not always Democrats.”
It is evil to stop the Rats from cheating and killing off conservatives.
But it’s not evil to facilitate voter fraud... Got it.
All this weeks long voting situation facilitates is an
opportunity to game the system.
We need to put a cork in their plan.
Not as evil as the Democrats voter fraud, which is SOP for Democrats.
I can’t say what I want to say, but I can think it and pray for it!
All of this argument seems to suggest that laws on the books and being proposed somehow inhibit minorities and poor people from voting.
I live in a Black majority state which now has a lot of Hispanic immigrants. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have the proper ID and ability to vote if they want to.
She’s right. It’s almost as evil as taking away someone’s vote which the Democrats did millions of times last year.
Guess she hasn’t read the memo, yet - Elections Don’t Matter Anymore.
It’s evil to stuff the ballot box. it’s evil to let illiterates, non-english speakers, and people too stupid to get an ID to vote.
Is it evil to make it hard to buy a gun, a house, or a bottle of beer?
Shove it Amy. Lying turd.
I had to show a state ID to open a safety deposit box last week. Is that racist or unconstitutional?
“Hard” compared to what?
I am on a higher moral level than Klobuchar the Dem.
From my higher vantage point I see that it is evil to illegally vote when not a US citizen registered to vote at a precinct, and it is evil to participate in vote fraud and to cover it up-—including as a politician.
She is guilty.
We have not brought her to justice.
She should ask my forgiveness. This is entirely on this human level. Does not include what her promotion of baby killing abortions will bring her on the next plane.
So now that we know elections don’t matter anymore, do we sit back and allow them to run buckshot over our a$$es
I pray for these people.
I pray for God’s judgement to fall upon them
It is evil to make everyones vote worthless to maintain power.
It’s evil to make it easy to cheat and render our votes worthless.
“...it is evil to make it hard for people to vote.”
Doesn’t a steady stream of ignored or created voter fraud do the same thing? Didn’t the liberal party fight in court to stop the discovery of recognized or possible voting irregularities in numerous states?
Yeah, stupid Amy, it is hard to get your vote correctly accomplished when you have to prove it is yours. But if you prove it is yours, and it still is erased due to the fraud all over the country you defend, doesn’t that make it just as hard or harder to vote or worse because you won’t have a chance either way?
Kind of a damned if you do damned if you don’t because either way the vote will be suppressed and your liberal party supported the way it is happening now. Outside of doing it wrong, you have no suggestions to get it right. So what good are you?

What she is REALLY trying to say “How dare anyone prevent illegal aliens and dead people from voting..come on this is criminal..dead people and illegals have every right to vote democrat, multiple times if they have to, in order for us to stay in power”
