Texas Gov. Greg Abbott asked President Biden to issue an emergency declaration for his state due to the increasingly difficult border crisis.
In a letter to the president, Abbott specifically pointed to Val Verde County, where Haitian migrants have set up an encampment in Del Rio under the International Bridge. The governor said that as of Saturday there were nearly 16,000 migrants in Del Rio.

I agree. Biden said he was going to be flying Haitians back to Haiti. He needs to be put on the record again concerning the border. Saying no once isn’t good enough.
Just heard a sheriff come out on newsmax saying that Biden is not going to help that it’s up to Texans to come and take care of this business. I agree with him wholeheartedly.
We would all love to personally remove some Haitian “refugees” from under that bridge-put them into the back of our 4x4’s and drive them to the bus station in Acuna and put them on one pointed south toward Belize/Guatemala, or to Vera Cruz on the coast-but unless you know some rich person who will pay the drivers of those 18 wheelers, etc, then it is just a movie scenario-and this is not Hollywood. Grocery stores usually do limit quantities when short on supply-but they are private companies so it is voluntary-gas stations are the same...
There are also limits to state law regarding what a governor can do-the governor is not as powerful as many think-so he can’t become a tyrant-I’m interested in watching the legal back-and-forth now that the gauntlet has been thrown down by gov Abbott-he has already entered into a private state contract with a construction company-with state funds-for the wall for Texas only-and he is a good lawyer by reputation-if Biden refuses aid for bridgegate-then the door is probably open for Texas LEOs to step it up on the illegals-and be legally within the boundaries of the Texas constitution...
Yelling and screaming with a keyboard online isn’t going to make anything happen-I’ve called and emailed my congressman, and so have my neighbors in this rural area-he is doing all he can, along with many others-so we stay informed and keep up the pressure...
Asking for a declaration gets him on record as refusing to help. So that's useful. He cant say nobody asked for help.

gov Abbott do not live in Texas-or if they do, they are nowhere near the border-I was raised in rural W Texas-less than 100 miles from Del Rio/Acuna, which was my favorite happy place for a long weekend-next to Big Bend-until about 11 years ago, when los carteles made Del Rio and Acuna too dangerous-especially the recreational areas around the dam and lake-so this is sort of personal to me...
Get it on the record-again-Obama ended up looking like a petty dictator after getting into a snit and slow-walking disaster aid to Texas after a hurricane/storm-so not the 1st time a democrat pres showed his ass...
Sorry but when the President won’t follow his duties in Article IV sec. 4 to protect a state from invasion, he needs to step in, and so far he has sucked has sucked!
We saw pictures of planes loaded with young men. Now ask yourself, if you had some kids who could be evacuated, wouldn’t you make sure they went first? Even if you were left behind? So how many of these evacuees are “refugees” and how many of our Afghan allies were left behind for them and their families to be executed?

Abbott has got to formally ask and then if the Feds refuse to do anything that gives him more legal weight to take matters into his own hands to protect Texas.

* Set a “DMZ” border zone. (Ie. double border)
* Emergency hire 2000 State Trooper/Rangers.
* Texas purchase 1000 Swat Vehicles.
* Transport illegals to DMZ Zone double border.
* Process.
