Welfare island. Make it a penal colony. Plenty of government jobs. Win-win.
Too bad occasional-kotex didn’t use that $30,000 for the ticket to help rebuild her abuela’s home rather than waste it on an evening in NYC showcasing the dress made by a tax criminal...
Give it back to Spain on condition that they take AOC with the island.
Full disclosure: the woman who would have been my mother in law (she died in March) was from Morovis. I enjoy visiting the island but am under no illusions that it is a political and economic basket case.
