A group of far-left lawmakers — including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) — forced House Democratic leadership Tuesday to cut $1 billion for Israel’s Iron Dome from a short-term government funding bill.
The removal of the language from a continuing resolution that would keep the federal lights on through early December prompted an urgent call from Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.).
Lapid tweeted that Hoyer had reassured him that the cut was a “technical postponement” ...

I think Israel should be paying the whole cost for the dome. It won’t break my heart if funding from the US continues; it probably will..eventually.
I really feel the Israelis’ have committed mass genecide with this whole “vaccine”, that really isn’t.
We’ve pulled the same shenanigans on the Israelis before. Their usually reaction is to take apart our hardware/systems, improve them considerably, and then implement a superior product. They are crafty like that. I admire anyone than hangs on in face of a ruthless enemy. It takes fortitude. Something we seem to be lacking these days.
Perhaps Israel should pay it themselves. Aren’t we trying to get away from foreign welfare payments. I guess that was back in the trump years.
Will this result in the spending bill being blocked? If so, it might not be as bad as it might at first appear...
We need to stop it all, a country like Israel can take care of itself, put that money to use elsewhere.

Why what? Israel will eventually get back US financing of its wall. In principle I would prefer Israel pay for all of it, but I’m confident they’ll get our money.

Don't have to. Iron Dome is an Israeli product, they shared the technology with us and allowed us to build systems/components. Though I think the Defense Dept. is backing away from the system.

That’s right, we can put that money to use elsewhere. There are 1 1/2 new, soon to be “citizens” at our border waiting for their free healthcare, housing, education ad God knows what else.
