My parent’s & their families came to the US as WWII refugees in the 50’s. They struggled to get on their feet when they came, but were hard working people that put family first. Eventually their kids included a doctor, an engineer, a mechanic, a die designer in automotive-all productive people contributing to America. I suspect many people fleeing places like Cuba will have similar stories in their future, having seen how bad things can be without freedom to succeed.

Which is where conservatives can still win, by teaching new Americans that they need freedom more than they do socialism.

Joe Biden’s failure to understand the needs of our Hispanic communities has been clear since the campaign trail.

lOL

They will still vote for him 66% to 33%

My (obviously female) wife was born and raised in Mexico. She, like me, is Jewish. She is also a fully legal immigrant, who subsequently obtained her Green Card and, about 3 years later, her citizenship. She is pro-gun, pro-family, almost violently opposed to illegal immigration, in favor of a strong military and fiscal responsibility. In 2016, despite Donald Trump’s announcement speech the prior year, she proudly voted for him. I find it particularly delicious that Hillary went 0-for-3 with her - as a woman, as a Mexican immigrant or as a Jew, one would normally expect her to have voted D...but my wife is generally pretty smart (let’s not talk about mathematics, OK?).

Hispanics should be, by all measures except their status as recent immigrants, conservative Republicans. They generally have pretty traditional family values, and the vast majority that I know - of all social classes - are VERY hard workers who pay their taxes and obey the laws that matter (i.e. not the ones that are there to raise revenue via penalties). They also, in my experience (in TX), LOVE their guns - they are a macho society, which means that they don’t like taking crap from anyone for anything. However, the Dems traditionally grab immigrants, and they have utter control over the media, so they’ve gotten a much larger share of the Hispanic vote in the past than what would otherwise make sense. But now, finally, the Dems have so jumped the shark that the propaganda campaign is backfiring.

Hispanics from Socialist countries I would think would see through the facade of the Democrat Party. Those coming here from other countries are here to find work and benefits that are not available to them from where they came . Free stuff is promised upon their arrival. Those looking more for freebies will be drawn to the Democrats. I think its more of an educated Hispanic vs. a lesser educated when it comes to party choice, their former living environment experience would also come into play. LOL, South American and Central American politics is usually El Supremo, Commandante or Viva El Guapo.
