I never give $ to panhandlers except once. I gave a dollar to a guy who had a sign that said “No Lies Want Beer”. The one honest panhandler.
I’m amazed at the fact that currently ALL panhandlers are disabled vets now. At least that’s what their signs say.

I saw a female a few weeks ago standing on an island near a traffic light. She was pregnant, appeared to be near term. could not read her sign, but she held it low so all could see her condition. Sad life that little one will be born into.

I see a lot of healthy in shape panhandlers.
A few days ago I was talking to a small business owner and those people infuriate him as much as they do me.

“Beer” you believed it? He was lying for sure. Was going to buy POT, or if not some other drug.

You can bring that to a screeching halt. Just ask him was his MOS was, and what unit he was in

Nope, guaranteed the guy was still lying. He'll probably go buy meth with it or something.
The "why lie - I need a beer" sign has been going around for years. And the professional homeless share their stories with each other, so when something works, they all start doing it.

I remember one back about 1980 maybe as late as 1985, the kid was about 20 to 22 years old.
His sign said he was a disabled Viet Nam vet, I told him to f#ck off and called him on it.
I enlisted in December 67.
