Delco DA: 'Near certainty' that officers fatally shot 8-year-old girl outside football stadium

Initial ballistics analysis has concluded with "near certainty" that it was officers' gunfire that killed a young girl and injured several others outside of the Academy Park High School football stadium last month, Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer announced on Monday.

Stollsteimer said this all began with a shooting about a block away from the football stadium on the 900 block of Coates Street.

At the same time of the shooting, authorities say a vehicle turned onto Coates Street directly in front of three Sharon Hill Borough police officers. 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' sashays home with 10 Tony Awards

"We have concluded that the gunfire, combined with the movement of the vehicle, precipitated responsive gunfire from the Sharon Hill police officers," said Stollsteimer on Monday.

Cops are lousy shots. Seen it time and again at ranges where they train. Both in Michigan where I lived up to 2009 and again here in SE Ohio.

it's believed that four of the five gunshot victims, including 8-year-old Fanta Bility, were struck by shots fired by the Sharon Hill police officers. Final forensic reports have not been released. Sources have told Action News that no weapon was found after a search of the vehicle and its occupants. Shockingly, no one was hit in the car.

The shooter shot from a different car and the cops picked the wrong one? But the real shooter hit who he was aiming at, the fifth gunshot victim. I hope they can use that to catch the first shooter, cause this is all his fault. Maybe the family can talk to the people in the hood and get them to turn the shooter in.

I know, snitches get stitches, but this guy hurt kids in their own backyard, they need to rat him out.

It's likely ballistics analysis (as the term is typically defined) has identified the specific gun that fired the bullet killing the young girl, and the specific gun(s) that fired bullets injuring several others.

Whether such information will be released to the public, including the survivors, remains to be seen.

Unless you train shooting under simulated stress constantly then pretty much everyone is a lousy shot. Cops are super guilty

All real triggermen should train in multiple simulated stress environments including trigger time with HR in the 160-170 range,
Which is a great replicator.

Lousy shots and terribly trained.

A cop friend of mine posted a video bragging about a dynamic entry where a cop got shot in the upper torso. They just kinda stumble-fkd their way through the door breach and had an OK Corral event. No tactics whatsoever - errant rounds.going everywhere.

The shot cop was okay,dead perp but what.a.mess they made. What struck me was my buddy thought they did a great job.

I always figure that gang-bangers don't have a license, don't legally own a gun, and don't belong to a shooting club. I don't know how they practice at all. I figure they would generally be terrible shots.

Cops, on the other hand, ought to spend some time practicing. A pressure situation will impact performance, but still ...

And yet the gang-banger shot the person he was aiming at, and the cops all went wide of the mark. Pathetic.
