Well that may well be so. MSN really does suck. My gut tells me there are people on the flight that the Taliban want returned and that is why the flight is not allowed to proceed to the USA.
We must ask “mother may I” of the Taliban to retrieve our citizens and allies from the fallen Afghanistan regime.

Earlier this month the first international flight carrying civilians since the Taliban took control of the capital Kabul took off from the main airport while charter flights were reportedly stuck on the ground at Mazar-i-Sharif, a city located some 185 miles north of the capital Kabul.
“We're working around the clock to clear any roadblocks to make sure that charter flights carrying Americans or others to whom we have a special responsibility can depart Afghanistan safely,” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told National Public Radio. “Without personnel on the ground, we can't verify the accuracy of manifests, the identities of passengers, flight plans or aviation security protocols.”
I wonder? Could the US still be in negotiations with the Taliban about the “tribute” that is due on those we retrieve? I loath these lying vermin running our government and their “Taliban Allies” /sarcasm.

Stern said the initial plan was to move the passengers to a different charter jet in the United Arab Emirates, which Customs and Border Protection cleared to ultimately land at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. That plan then changed to landing at Dulles airport in Virginia, before the flight was ultimately denied any landing rights in the U.S.

Among those on board are 28 Americans, 83 green card holders and six people with U.S. Special Immigration Visas, including 59 children, Reuters reported.
Organizers now have the option of using a plane from Egypt to fly them from Abu Dhabi to Cairo, where they can refuel. They could then potentially fly to Dulles airport in Virginia, but would still need security clearance to land in the United States. The cost to organizers for the new option sits at $450,000.
