OMAHA, Neb. -- Work at all of the Kellogg Company's U.S. cereal plants came to a halt Tuesday as roughly 1,400 workers went on strike, but it wasn't immediately clear how much the supply of Frosted Flakes or any of the company's other iconic brands would be disrupted.

The strike includes plants in Omaha, Nebraska Battle Creek, Michigan; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Memphis, Tennessee....

...The company insists that its offer is fair and would increase wages and benefits for its employees that it said made an average of $120,000 a year last year.

"We are disappointed by the union’s decision to strike. Kellogg provides compensation and benefits for our U.S. ready to eat cereal employees that are among the industry’s best," Kellogg spokesperson Kris Bahner said in a statement....

First it was Frito-Lay, then Nabisco, and now, Frosted Flakes are in danger. This is not the way to run a pandemic!

It’s mostly from over-time.

12 hour days 6 days a week.

They make approx $20-$24 an hour.

The union will lose and those jobs will go to Mexico. And FWIW, breakfast cereal has an enormous profit margin. That stuff is priced so crazy expensive considering what is actually inside the box.

Ok that’s better.

I’d hate to think I should have been a flake.

“As long as I have my Fruit-Loops.”

Even if breakfasts cereals all go under, there will always be plenty of fruit loops around.

Good. Kelloggs is a woke company.

Name a Fortune 1000 company that isn't woke? Every company in America that employs more than a hundred people has bent the knee to wokeism.

I wouldn’t know if Kellogg’s had a strike since I’ve been boycotting them for 5 years now since they went off on Trump and us. The left despise normality and having feminized boys then marginalized real females for those same males now pretending to be women Democrats are going after the remaining men. I saw an article on that, “Pennsylvania Democrat to Introduce Forced Vasectomy Bill in Response to Texas Pro-Life Law”, and you can give that a look at Breitbart. As always I am in favor of Democrat ideas being applied only to Democrats, so ‘vasectomize’ away. And to those who flushed their cereal. You paid for that, so next time just use it up and don’t buy more. They laughed at you, same as when you burn a jersey or CD you bought already.

Why are they making over $15 an hour? I thought that number was magical or something and all work had to be paid at that rate. MSM said so!

Right, like corn and sugar with some chemicals sprinkled over it so it doesn’t rot too quickly. And they want $4 a box for 11 ounces. Unreal!

The union will lose and those jobs will go to Mexico

Why we need a border tax and a higher import tariff.

I know! LOL

The employees are LEGAL workers.

They had to show I.D. and give their Social Security number.

So the reward is better pay perhaps.

It’s also a Union Shop so the pay rate is set.
Of course that means No merit pay, limited promotions, etc.

Agreed. I am counting the days whenI get an email from HR telling me I have to take a course and acknowledge my acceptance of the alphabet trans lifestyle among co-workers. I’ll just start cleaning out my desk instead.
