Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., sharply questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland’s deployment of the FBI to intervene in local school board matters in an exchange Tuesday with one of Garland’s deputies during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
In a memo the day before, Garland instructed the Justice Department and FBI “to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel,” in what Hawley and other critics view as an attempt to silence parents who actively oppose their school districts’ adoption of critical race theory and other leftist ideas or policies.
“Is waiting to express one’s view at a school board meeting harassment and intimidation?” Hawley asked Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco at one point.

exactly the communists running the DOJ and FBI are laughing
CRT indoctrinators are racial predators
Keep your kids safe from predators
Josh Hawley and all other people in congress who hold hearings about Facebook or any other issue, all have something in common. Nothing ever comes of their questionings or hearings. It’s all a pretend show, to allow people at home believe that their congresscritters are doing something about the issues.
Every time I hear or see a hearing in congress, I immediately know that it’s a waste of my time and that of the entire country.
Using a government paid enforcer to lean on angry parents is inviting an imaginary flight of buckshot!!
It is straight out of the bottle Stalinism!!!
I do ot condone the government’s chosen action.
I do not condonethe expected parents’ actions.
But, if one government pukegets an attitude like the one in the movie, V for Vendetta, I fear the results will be the same!
Thank goodness Garland was never allowed on the Supreme Court. It may be the only thing McConnell ever did for America. Garland is proving to be a typical democrat with a financial interest in things he adjudicates. His son in law heads a company that provides curricula to schools with the help of Zuckerberg.
Why do all these frickin politicians have so much baggage and why isn’t any news interested? (rhetorical question)
It’s very possible that the FBI will find some states in collusion that are sharing talking points being written for SBoard meetings. Molehill meet Mountain. It will be used to justify this DOJ mess in the making.
If so, that is the beginning of the long march to Federalize education, being the giant bet-dream of teacher unions, school bus drivers and Marxist everywhere.
No doubt it would be easy for the Fibs to infiltrate the parents plans,, just as done last Jan.
Quit “talking” and “questioning”! DO SOMETHING. Otherwise I will consider the Republican to be yet another member of the Republican arm of the Uniparty.
Yup
Republican Kabuki Theater. It’s worked for years.
Republicans should demand that FBI wear swastika armbands.
I would say that almost every govt. agency has been weaponized in some form or fashion.
The IRS, EPA, FBI, and every other agency is an enemy of the people. It’s time we show them who the boss is. By ANY means necessary.
Agreed. Nothing ever is resolved and nobody is ever punished. It’s just political theater for the masses. I guarantee you after the hearing is over, they all meet up at an exclusive restaurant to drink and laugh at how stupid the voters are.
In the words of George Car!in:
“It’s a big exclusive club and we ain’t in it.”
At least someone is talking about it. But we sure have to lower our expectations to the floor to get excited about this.
Questioned it!?
How can you question using a Federal police agency to silence uppity parents?
Perfectly normal response of the state in defense of state’s property.
Brazen syncopaths..with power at their disposal.
Has half our nation decided to follow the devil himself... when you are blind, deaf, dumb, a socialist.. and you think you are right and power within your grasp..
YOU HAVE LOST YOUR MIND COMPLETELY!!!
As bad as this is - and it IS bad - I feel like we are once again being played by the Left.
This is a great attention-getter (and it should be), but it distracts from the really harmful provisions in the $3.5 trillion bill that the Dems are trying to get through - and which they, themselves, say will “fundamentally transform our economy.”
Remember that phrase from Obama? Yes, of course you do - we ALL do. And while that anti-American phucker’s centerpiece legislation of Obamacare didn’t fully live up to even the hopes of the Dems (as bad as it was and is), keep in mind that it is no PERMANENT. There is almost no possible way to get rid of that law, and all that it does - we’d need 60 Senators, control of the House and the Presidency to do that, with NO defections. WELLLLLLL...if Biden’s handlers, Pelosi and Schumer are able to get this $3.5 trillion monstrosity through (along with its companion $1.5 trillion so-called “infrastructure” bill), then those, too will be permanent...and the most damaging parts of both of them have little to do with the costs (which are, as usual, underestimated by a considerable amount, and will damage the economy all by themselves). No, the most dangerous parts have to do with immigration - the Dems are FUNDAMENTALLY changing the electorate, THE NUMBER ONE GOAL OF THEIRS SINCE 1965. They are on the cusp of success, of having a permanent majority - all they need is an amnesty and a path to citizenship for millions upon millions of illegals whom they are seeding in key states and Congressional districts around the country, and if they succeed in this, it is all over. Even if Trump or a Trump-backed Republican wins in 2024 and we have the House and Senate, NOTHING will reverse this action.
So, while what the FBI is doing at the behest of (corrupt) AG Garland is important, let’s please not get distracted, let’s not allow the Left to succeed in completely undermining this country through a couple of lines in a 2,500 page bill.
Kudos to Sen. Hawley, but, as we all know the uniParty has absolutely no objection to the weaponizing of the DoJ/FBI against U.S. citizens, and is in fact are all for it.
So, as usual nothing will come of it.
