Brooklyn, we have a problem.
The MTA spent $86 million on a state-of-the-art, NASA-like “bus command center” that has gone unused for more than two years because it’s already falling apart, The Post has learned.
Transit officials have said the eastern Brooklyn command center, which replaces a smaller facility across the street, will serve as a “war room” for bus dispatchers. But the building has sat empty since former Transit President Andy Byford and other big-wigs held a celebratory ribbon cutting there in June 2019.
With the building at Jamaica Avenue and Fanchon Place having suffered leaks, faulty heating and bug-infested bathrooms, dispatchers who are supposed to work there have refused to relocate ....

Where did the money really go? They certainly didn’t use it to hire any top notch contractors.

Where did the money really go? Half went to the mafia since, they control construction.
One-quarter went to grease the pockets of greaseball politicians.
The remainder went to unskilled crimigrant labor because, you know, diversity.

You don’t understand politics, first you work on getting a new, modern, improved state of the art facility to improve the efficiency of this department which of course includes money for politicians to grease all kind of personal issues. Then since the new, modern, state of the art facility needs repairs, well step number two, funding to repair all the incorrect items, which of course includes money for politicians to grease all kinds of personal issues. Then the third shake down, oops “step”, a complete redesign of the defective project because the designer make errors for which they will be off the redesign team...... (political speak for “you didn’t kick back enough money you fool!”). Of course this redesign will include money for politicians to grease all kinds of personal issues. Now we come to fourth step, this whole project was a complete disaster and we must start again on another property which we need to buy from a close personal associate of the head politician, for an inflated price, design a new state of the art, modern facility which will bring efficiency and cost savings to the taxpayers (LOL) while including money for politicians to grease all kinds of personal issues.
See we take a simple on time capital expenditure and turn it into a perpetual funding operation for the politicians. Oh, by the way the design team is now back in the game (translation they finally cracked their wallet open wide enough for us to put them back in the game). Now, what we need is another state of the art, modern project to improve the efficiency of this department........ “Excuse me, I did not get a harumph out of that guy“.......

With the building at Jamaica Avenue and Fanchon Place having suffered leaks, faulty heating and bug-infested bathrooms, Isn't that just standard features of a building in New York City? Those items may have been on the list of standard equipment requested by the agency as part of the building project.

Over their dead bodies, I suspect. They would rather have an unusable building than to hire anyone connected with Trump.
