The American public is stupid beyond words. The media can convince them that what’s in the cup really is chocolate pudding, don’t mind the smell. But what the media cannot do is convince the idiots that they have what they don’t have. The American public is self entitled and demanding. As prices rise, and shortages become more common, those people will become angry, even if they don’t understand what happened.
You can’t underestimate the human ability to adapt to worsening and worsening conditions.
The counter-message is simple enough for a government education victim to understand, even if the GOP leadership hates to repeat it: “This wasn’t happening under Trump.”
I sure hope so.
