That’s not how bookmaking works.
What it means (I think) is that bookmakers have had to offer good odds for McAuliffe in order to cover bets on Youngkin.
I think the fix is in for McAuliffe, but I don’t believe the bookies have any special knowledge.

Bookies are middlemen. They do not attempt to predict the outcome of events (at least not directly) they try to wager an equal amount on all possible outcomes, and profit off the “vig”. Odds are set to have an equal amount wagered on both sides of any contest. (Same deal with point spread. The spread is where bookies think an equal amount will be bet on either team.)

Preditic is more like track para mutual betting where the amount of $$$ determines the odds rather than bookmakers skewing the odds to keep them in the middle and balanced.
