Winsome Sears delivered a patriotic speech as she claimed victory in her race to become the first woman and woman of color to be elected Virginia's lieutenant governor.
"I'm telling you that what you are looking at is the American dream," Sears said during her victory speech.
Sears, a Marine Corps veteran, claimed victory in a speech early Wednesday morning and was met by a crowd chanting, "Winsome! Winsome! Winsome!"
"When I joined the Marine Corps, I was still a Jamaican. But this country had done so much for me, I was willing, willing, to die for this country," Sears said during her victory speech early Wednesday morning.
She then led the boisterous crowd in a "USA" chant.

This woman is fantastic. Get her some more experience, then have her run for the Senate.
This woman had been in VA politics as a Republican for over 2 decades! Initially serving as a delegate. And she’s a Marine vet.
In 2012 she lost her 27 year old daughter and two grandchildren in a fatal car crash.
She’s overcome a lot wow.
She has a great story to tell, and tells it well. May she enjoy continued success!

Our beef is with uncontrolled ILLEGAL immigration. My girlfriend is a legal immigrant “of color.” (Filipino) The most staunch Trump supporter I know is married to a Japanese woman. Another Trump supporter I know is married to a Filipino.

Yes, but she was in the country legally. What we want to do is stop ALL illegal aliens from entering the US. Foreigners wishing to enter the US have other options - legal options. But this southern border mess is just more of the flaunting of authority which seriously got under way in the sixties - it is giving the middle finger to law and order!!.
We are not blanket against immigration, just illegal immigration, and also passing out asylum tickets to whoever can get to the border (as they are doing now).
I have seen people calling for a 10 year moratorium on all immigration. Not recently but I have seen that. They did not even want spouses or children to be allowed to gain citizenship.
