A day after President Joe Biden denied that border crossers could be paid off nearly half a million each as part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) settlement, his White House admits that such payouts will happen “if it saves taxpayer dollars.”
Last month, reports circulated that Biden’s DOJ, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) were working to settle with a number of border crossers represented by the ACLU, who claim they have suffered trauma as a result of former President Donald Trump’s “Zero Tolerance” policy that was briefly imposed in 2019.

A 24-year-old Honduran immigrant who’s charged with murder in the brutal stabbing death of a Florida man had crossed the US border illegally months earlier while posing as an unaccompanied minor, an investigation by The Post found.
Yery Noel Medina Ulloa was busted Oct. 7 in Jacksonville when he was found covered in blood after allegedly killing Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, a father of four who had taken in the immigrant who told authorities he was 17.
Police said they followed a trail of blood back to the victim’s home and arrested Ulloa, placing him in a juvenile detention facility.
It wasn’t until Oct. 13 that authorities learned his real identity — and his true age.
Ulloa, who turned 24 on Friday, had duped border authorities in Texas several months earlier by claiming he was a teenager named Reynel Alexander Hernandez — and even told his mom about the ruse.

Someone axed a question not on the list.
What they are talking about is settling a lawsuit. When you do that you have to have a legal opinion from the lawyers trying the lawsuit about potential total legal damages plus legal fees. So what the WH would have us believe is
1. We're likely to lose the case, and
2. The pro-rated damages per person awarded by a US court would amount to vastly more than $450K per head.
I find all of this extremely hard to believe and am forced to wonder how much of that laundered money will end up in Democrat coffers?
Of course they are going to pay off illegals..after all the Dems NEED their vote, especially after seeing the disaster for them in Virginia, with Youngkin getting 9 points higher in the Hispanic vote..the Dems now need to pay off as many illegals as possible to vote for them
Might save time if they’d just ask whoever is in charge instead of the sock puppet.

Money laundering operation enriching the ACLU had been established with staff, building space, interpreters, expense budgets, and lawyers retained in six figures on day #1 of the Biden Administration. Agreements had been made on the backs of taxpayers to make the ACLU fat. Real fat.
The White House on Thursday walked back President Biden’s comments from the day before that the administration would not be paying migrants separated at the border during the last administration $450,000 each, clarifying that the government would be willing to settle out of court with those families.
“If it saves taxpayer dollars and puts the disastrous history of the previous administration’s use of zero tolerance and family separation behind us, the president is perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the individuals and families who are currently in litigation with the United States government,” White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters.
In part due to the outcome of a couple of elections, these plans will be accelerated along with many others just as tyrannical...
The communists know that, based on U.S. history over the past 60-years, that even when or if the GOP gets total control again, nothing will be done to remove the chains...

I thought Biden called this idea “garbage” or something similar yesterday. So, a day of fermentation makes this agreeable garbage for his White House staff. So either Pathetic Pops is lying, or he has no idea what is going on, or he is frankly, senile. I believe the answer is “all three”. God Help this country, we are led by communists, thieves and mountebanks.
