Amper, one of the crowd members, said she saw a "girl lying on the floor near me, and we had random people doing CPR on this girl."
More than 20 minutes passed, she said, before "actual medical assistants came."
Houston police and event security staff stopped the concert "as soon as the situation got to the point where it was overwhelming the resources there," but by then "the damage had been done," Peña, the fire chief, said.

Security staff member was stuck with a needle and Narcon had to be administered. WTH?
Those darn MAGA white supremacists!
Fauci?
Incidents like this are why many outdoor concert venues and even stadiums have gotten rid of general admission tickets. I myself would never go to any outdoor live event. First for safety reasons and secondly that most musicians sound terrible live.
50,000? No medical teams outside. Unassigned seating? No seats?
Idiocy exponential. No sense of self protection? Survival instinct.
That’s too many people. I’ve been to concerts in Madison square garden, the meadowlands. Never felt scared. There was order. There were cops. I remember seeing The Rolling Stones at Shea stadium there were cops all over the place. Just keeping the crowd safe
Surprisingly small number of dead given the crowd and past incidents (Hillbourough, UK soccer disaster, The Who concert in Cincinnati)
They should have worn their mask.
Can you do CPR if you and the patient are wearing masks?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Yep. Feral descendants of the Mexican War again.
You’d think after The Who in Cincinnati, they would have learned.
Perhaps the low-talent musicians sound bad live, but GOOD, PROFESSIONAL musicians sound FANTASTIC live.
Your whole “safety” schtick is pathetic and most unbecoming in an adult. There are HUGE festivals around the world that don’t have this problem. Look at the attendees to find the issue...
The sound may be a bit different at a live show, but it is usually great. The only BAD live show I have ever attended was Midnight Oil, and they sucked out loud on vinyl, and were worse live.
Sorry the musicians you have gone to see suck live. Good ones don’t.

I'm thinking cops might not be to popular at a rap concert.
What if the stage act were to start calling for the crowd to attack them?
Oh. I know.
Meanwhile Lots of complaints that it took 20 min for EMT to show up.
Fentynal
“Can you do CPR if you and the patient are wearing masks?”
Yes. Mouth to mouth is no longer recommended. Just fast, hard, and continuous compressions.
No one goes to one of these events to hear music; rather, they go to see music.
better idea
hire Hell’s Angels for security
Social workers would’ve been able to keep things in order!!-sarc
Actually, they don’t sound terrible live. When was the last time you went to a live concert - 50 years ago?
