The Trump Organization secured a partial victory on Monday as a Washington, D.C., superior court judge dismissed a portion of a lawsuit brought by the D.C. attorney general over actions by former President Donald Trump's 2017 Presidential Inaugural Committee.
The judge dismissed a claim by D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine that Trump's inaugural committee "wasted" $1 million in rented ballrooms at Trump's Washington, D.C., hotel, writing that they have not met the standard of proof ...
..The ruling removed the Trump Organization as a named defendant in the case, yet still keeps the former president's Washington hotel as a named defendant, as well as the inaugural committee itself.
The judge ordered a status hearing be held in February to determine how the remaining parties want to proceed.

IF some monies were spent to 'enrich' certain attendees, wouldn't that money go back to the RNC/campaign? And not into Racine's pockets to do as he dictates?
“AG Racine is working to get that money back and make sure it supports a legitimate public purpose.”
How much money has he wasted on this stupid lawsuit?
WiTH is Steyn’s lawsuit against The Mann in the DC circuit?
So they want gold flake paint for BLM Plaza.
This on it's face is insane. DC is NOT a State, but has an AG?
True, this just a scummy Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton SHAKEDOWN.
“This on it’s face is insane. DC is NOT a State, but has an AG?”
“Repeal the 23rd Amendment”
All it did was enabled this kind of “jackassery.”
You can’t have the seat of the Federal Government voting for one political party 90% of the time. It just doesn’t work for a 50 State Union, in fact it leads to revolution, if grievances aren’t addressed.

We had something similar in Austin. It started innocently enough, we needed some entity to investigate public corruption at the state level, so we had the Austin (really Travis County) DA set up an office for it.
Sure enough Austin then turned bright blue and they quickly figured out that they had a great political weapon. I remember that they went after Kay Baily Hutchison during her first Senate campaign...for asking a state worker to pick her daughter up from school (or something like that). The indicted her, I believe, but she still won with 70% of the vote. Immediately after the election...they dropped the ‘charges’. They also used their power against conservative Democrats, which did exist here prior to the Republicans taking over...and with that, they could claim to be ‘bipartisan’.
Finally the Republicans got fed up with them and put those types of investigations under state control, I believe.
Thanks BobL, your posts are always good and I’ve enjoyed reading them over the years.
I also appreciate any good news coming out of the Republic of Texas. Its a great State and a wonderful road block to much of the left wing agenda.
Thanks, Unclebankster, that was very kind! Texas is a definitely a great state to live in, given its cheap housing and no income tax. We do pay on the high side for property tax, but even with that, people do have some control, as you can still buy condos for under 100k, so even that can be kept to $2k a year or so. So, good state!
