A former “Apprentice" contestant who accused former President Donald Trump of sexual assault dropped her defamation lawsuit against him Friday.
Summer Zervos sued the then-president in New York state court in 2017, saying he damaged her reputation when he said she and other women alleging sexual assault and harassment were making things up.

I hadn’t thought about that, but it’s possible. 👍 The prosecutors have been making stuff up from the beginning.
“Drops Suit” in in the title. “Dismissed and discontinued with prejudice” in the third paragraph. In other words, she dropped it before it was dimissed with prejudice.
I’m completely shocked that the headline is misleading. Never seen that before today.
I had not seen that statement from her cousin. Makes sense. I’ve actually met Summer in her restaurant years ago. My husband was enamored with her; she was extremely attractive in person and personable.
I could never understand how any decent lawyer would take her case. I watched a press conference with her where she broke down crying. She came off like a woman scorned and her tears and histrionics were just... sad and immature. There was no case then, and now, there is no case. I can only surmise that now that Trump is out of the limelight, her lawyers can see no way to get any money of any amount to make it worth more work. I’m sure they’ve put in hundreds of hours of attorney time for this nothingburger.

True but even if it was dismissed without prejudice, you calculate the statute of limitations as if the first suit had never been brought. So it would be barred by the statute of limitations anyway
She was the one fired first by Trump during that season and she apparently tried to schmooze him into joining her business venture. When he refused is when all the “harassment” charges originally took place and went into hyperdrive after meeting Gloria Allred.
