The mask debacle was probably the first big mistake that confused people on a wide scale and created broad skepticism.
The decision to advise people to isolate at home was another big mistake, according to many independent scientists. We now know that even CDC acknowledges most Covid is spread in the household. Instead of having people stay home and arresting those surfing by themselves at the beach, our public health officials should have encouraged people to get outdoors. Instead of closing parks and beaches, they should have advised people to go to them.
Some scientists knew this on the front end, but their views were attacked and silenced.
Another big mistake had to do with rushing to put so many people on respirators, which scientists now say probably hastened many deaths.
Another one was the mistaken panic and misrepresentation over running out of respirators: something that never actually happened.
Another one was the panic created over the idea that New York hospitals were being overrun. In fact, when makeshift facilities were erected and sent, such as a large ship, they were not needed.
Another mistake was controversializing medical treatments such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin rather than looking to the actual treatment experience of clinicians and study scientists, and providing a measured and fair assessment.

Its not just the public health agencies that the public has lost faith in. Just saying.

I'm actually in H.C. And actively working...
We do not just place people on Vent's for no reasons...Usually it's they cannot ventilate and/or oxygenate. And their ABG's "demand" that we do....
During this Cluster F...we found out some patients did better on HiFlo oxygen and dialed in FiO2's....Meaning no Positive Pressure breaths...
But it was and is....debatable. But we weren't "rushing" to place people on Vent's..That's BS

Release HCQ and Ivermectin so people can self medicate and Pandemic issues are over.
This may sound extreme, but the last few years have firmed up my conclusion, Any decision made by a non-elected government official is pure BS and not to be trusted. Democrats are incapable of separating their prejudices from their jobs and thus are not objective.

This one did it for me. When active I dispensed HCQ many times knowing it to be one of the safest drugs out there. I learned later that they had to lie about it because the law would not allow the vaxxes to be released if there was a therapeutic alternative available.
After the damage was done the lancet retracted their fraudulent claims. Since that episode I haven’t believed anything from the med establshment unless I check it thoroughly myself.
I agree with many of the commenters on Atkinson’s forum that these were not mistakes but deliberate lies and policy decisions.
I wouldn’t exclude elected officials from that.
These are not mistakes.
These people have proven they will lie repeatedly to achieve whatever their evil objectives are. I’ve not lost faith in them. I will never again believe anything they say.

It’s more accurately “no faith”!
Yup! So there is hope that far left loonies, like Sharyl, can claw themselves back to some form of sanity.
Similarly, every person would’ve known how many amplification cycles it took before their PCR test showed positive and the general public would’ve seen the statistics on this. I’m not sure that these statistics were even gathered, much less analyzed.
Can’t name scientist but I have five friends or relatives that have had covid and two out of the three the healthcare “profession” took them out with the CDC playbook of death. Remdisivir and vent was prescribed treatment for all five and the three that lived rejected the doctors/CDC treatments.
One had to get an attorney to get released from a hospital. No visitation allowed but she had her phone and recorded her deteriorating condition and sent it to friends and family. Double pneumonia, covid, O2 down to 75 and she rejected Remdisivir/vent and the hospital have her 4 liters of O2 and left her in the room to die when she rejected treatment and asked for alternative treatment.
Two got a dr to treat with antibiotics for pneumonia, ivermectin, D3, B, zinc and albuteral nebulizer breathing treatments. Both lived and recovered. This dr has treated over 2600 covid patients and all have lived.
Who’s the Doc?
I can believe what you have seen...I respect that. But I'm telling you,,if a patient's ABG's warrant a Vent..we do that. We have to do that...if they are a FULL CODE.

No Hosp. that I have ever worked in would have a Pt. on 4 lpm O2 with their SpO2 in the 70's.
