A hearing for the Senate Banking Committee went off the rails when Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) sparred with Chairman Sherrod Brown (D-OH) over the insinuation that Saule Omarova is a communist...
...As the hearing got underway, Republicans accused Omarova of backing “radical” and “socialist” economic ideas, while Brown derided this line of thinking as “Trumpism meets McCarthyism.” When Kennedy got his turn to ask questions, he immediately focused on Omarova’s involvement in a communist youth group...

Were they? Asking her if she ever formally resigned from the Komosomol? Could she produce the letter doing so? Those needed to be asked? He couldn't ask a question about her proposal for the Federal Reserve adopt the business of commercial banks? Nothing on her suggestion that the Fed set wages and prices? Her idiotic "National Investment Authority"; no questions came to his simple mind on that? The best he could come up with was questions on Communist youth organization, prefaced with the lie "Meaning no disrespect"? No wonder people have nothing but contempt for Congres.
....well DoodleDawg, Senator John Kennedy is far from a “simple mind” having graduated from Vanderbilt and Georgetown Law. So, in defending this radical woman, you got a little overly enthusiastic.
And yet that's the best he could come up with.

IF she was STILL a member of the Communist Party was a legitimate question. Some of her statements and writings in RECENT years were also informative for the average citizen.

WTG, Cornell. You sure can pick ‘em.
She was putting out some truly Nixonian non-denial denials.

“I’m not a communist. I do not subscribe to that ideology. I could not choose where I was born. I do not remember joining any Facebook group that subscribes to [Marxist] ideology. I would never knowingly join any such group.”
But 2019 was so long ago...
She is a sociopath. She lies without flinching.
How dare they even waste the public’s time with this nomination.
Marxists want to control language. We must not allow them to. If it walks like a duck...
She is a real Russian Communist.
The types we would joke about that Democrats would put in charge if they got elected.
It’s not a joke now, they are really trying to do this.
“I’m not a communist. I do not subscribe to that ideology. I could not choose where I was born. I do not remember joining any Facebook group that subscribes to [Marxist] ideology. I would never knowingly join any such group.”
Typical Marxist. She sounds like Hillary. “I can’t recall...”
