The acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse in a Kenosha, Wis., courtroom sparked plenty of opinions on Friday — divided in the same way the country is. The baby-faced gunman, who killed two men and wounded a third at a Black Lives Matter protest last year, was hailed as a hero in right-wing circles, while those on the left decried the jury’s decision.
President Biden expressed anger, but at the same time, urged calm.
“While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken,” the president said in a statement.
He urged Americans to express themselves in a peaceful manner despite their thoughts on the jury’s call.’ The Rev. Jesse Jackson said the not-guilty verdict could have chilling consequences for peaceful protests.
““It seems to me that it’s open season on human rights demonstrators,” he said. New York Mayor-elect Eric Adams posted a statement on Twitter calling for “swift and righteous” measures to prevent future bloodbaths.
“This decision is an indictment of irresponsible laws that make our society far more violent and unsafe under the guise of personal freedom and so-called self-defense,” Adams wrote. Rittenhouse’s defense team successfully argued their client had acted in self-defense when he killed two unarmed demonstrators, with whom he’d clashed. “It also sends an extremely dangerous message to those in our country who seek agendas of anarchy — often born in prejudice and ignorance — to wreak havoc in their communities and potentially murder their neighbors,” Adams wrote.
Rep. Jerry Nadler, a Manhattan Democrat who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, called the outcome of the trial a “heartbreaking verdict” and a “miscarriage of justice” that should be reviewed by the Department of Justice…….

Those who take to The Street in search of street justice may find some street justice that they don’t like.
And he's not even the mayor yet.
Good! Exactly what NYC deserves.
“New York Mayor-elect Eric Adams posted a statement on Twitter calling for “swift and righteous” measures to prevent future bloodbaths.”
Like putting antifa, BLM, and criminal thugs intent on destroying civilization and entire cities in prison where they belong? Like using the police, detectives, undercover agents, and law & order DAs to arrest and put the anarchists away for decades? Like increasing police budgets and getting communist DAs out of the way?
Things like that would surely prevent “future bloodbaths.”
Lots of rich people begging to get their arses sued off.
May their wishes be granted!
Eric Adams: “…so-called self-defense..” Let’s Go Adams!
Yes.
What in the Hell did Sharpton and the rest think was going on when BLM and Antifa pulled people out of family cars if they didn’t realize they were straying into occupied “CHOP” zones, and people were tear gassed, hit with tire irons and skateboards, kicked, and dozens of retail stores looted, atms pulled out by trucks with chains, Target checkout computers smashed with a hammerk and buildings burned to the ground?
That’s all just peachy keen fine to them?
Or is that “disturbing” and setting a bad precedent for others?
You godforsaken Satan tools.

19 Nov: VOA: Reuters: Appeals Court Rejects New York Times Bid to Resume Project Veritas Coverage
A New York appeals court judge has rejected the New York Times’ request to lift an order temporarily blocking it from publishing or seeking various documents related to the conservative activist group Project Veritas.
Friday’s order from Justice Leonard Austin of the state Appellate Division in Brooklyn means the Times cannot use the documents, which Project Veritas said are protected by attorney-client privilege, until a November 23 hearing on whether to extend the prohibition...
“Today’s decision to allow the injunction is deeply disappointing,” Times spokeswoman Danielle Rhoades Ha said in an email. “We look forward to explaining our position in court.”...
Wood’s order blocks the Times from reporting on or trying to obtain privileged Project Veritas materials until the Nov. 23 hearing.
The judge will also consider whether the newspaper must remove references to Barr’s memos from the Nov. 11 article...

Very small demonstrations, from what I can see. Maybe they’ll call in more this weekend.
They live in an alternate universe.
Facts don’t matter to them.
What the NYT is doing is 10 times worse than anything Veritas is açcused of.
Didn’t take long for Adams to show his true color

“President Biden expressed anger, but at the same time, urged calm.”
Then he pooped his pants, or was that before?
It was good of Prezzy Poopy-pants to admit his bias against Rittenhouse in an official declaration - it will only serve to strengthen Kyles case.
Take that miserable old bag o bones out behind the gymnasium! (judicially speaking of course)
